Letting Go

Life has been quite full for me these past few weeks, and this will continue to be so throughout 2012. This means that I am not able to write as much as I used to, sharing my own thoughts and observations with you. Instead I have been posting those gems I find from others and hope you are enjoying them. And when I can carve out the time, and have the presence of mind, I will indeed pull up a chair and scribble my musings with you as before.

Two weeks ago we met with the real estate agents we will be working with, as we put our home on the market. We will be moving from one coast to the other - East to West, Connecticut to Oregon. About as far a move as you can do and still be in the continental U.S. Even as I write these words, I get a bit misty eyed. This is a move I have held within my heart for well over two years now, and it is hard to believe it is actually beginning to unfold.

The real estate peeps recommended we list the house in early March, and after they left, the reality of this home no longer being mine really hit me. I have lived here since 1994. So very much has happened in that span of time. Hard to wrap my mind around all that, so mostly I don't even try. This home is infused with my energy. It is, in a sense, an extension of my body. Every square inch is reflective of who I am. [Well, maybe not every inch . . . there are a few nooks and crannies filled with dust bunnies that I'm not about to take ownership of :)] The very walls feel as though they are part of me. I guess I have a bit of turtle energy in me that this is so.

I've needed this house as my shelter. Being highly sensitive, I have always needed a place to retreat. While I love my time out and about, being around others, I spend much more time in my home than most people do, especially since the chronic illness I deal with, coupled with awakening symptoms, have kept me home-bound on many a day. And so this home has come to feel like my outer shell . . . again there is the turtle energy.

So this year of transition will be one in which I will be asked to let go, let go, and Let Go, over and over. Just as we all have been asked to do so in recent years. We are all letting go of all that no longer serves us, and moving on. Some linger, reluctant to release the comfort of what is familiar. They may be utterly miserable in their current circumstances, but stay on rather than step into the unknown.

You can do that, for a time at least. The energy of 2012 on forward will make this option less and less viable. It will propel you forward whether you agree or not. So you can choose to release your grip, accept that change is difficult and scary at times, but a necessary part of life here on earth. Or you can hold on tight, only to have your fingers pried lose and you get dragged kicking and screaming out the door.

I know I have to move. It is time for me. I have been told I am brave to do this, and believe me, it is not easy. But I don't see it as bravery at all. It is instead about accepting the natural flow of life. And trusting. Trusting first and foremost in myself, and my ability to navigate my way through this journey. And also trusting of the Universe to support me in doing so. I listen and watch for the messages, the signs, that guide me. I don't resist. I allow.

Where in your life, in your heart perhaps, are you resisting the natural flow? Where have you built a dam to block the river from moving forward? Take a look. And ask your self honestly: is this truly how I wish to live my life? Imagine yourself at the end of your life, in future years, and wonder what regrets you may have. What can you do now, that will shorten that list of regrets? This is what you came here to do: you came here to release and allow. Maybe it does take courage to do this. But as a card carrying whimp, I will tell you that if I can do it, you can as well.

Starseeds

For me, it's like reading my biography. When I was young and didn't know the difference between a starseed and a sesame seed, I used to think to myself "I feel like a stranger in a strange land." Earth never felt like home. In fact, it felt like a horrifically harsh and unpleasant place for the likes of me. When I say "earth," I don't mean the natural world, where I always felt completely comfortable. I mean rather the energy created by humanity, and which reached me in the form of my family, neighbors, school, church, playmates. My energy matrix was completely out of alignment with this energy. That's improving dramatically (finally!) thanks to the work that we wayshowers have been doing for decades now. Things are finally shifting to a point where those of us starseeds can finally begin to feel comfortable here. Mostly this is happening through our connecting with one another. Writing this blog is one way I have of feeling that connection, as I know many of my readers are also starseeds.

The "D" Word and 2012

In contemporary culture, death is something that makes us deeply uncomfortable. We do not know how to think about it, be with it, even talk about it. And yet now we must learn, we must do our best to pull away from our fears and all the cultural conditioning we have around death.

Even those of us who are very spiritual, and believe we are accepting of death, often come up with platitudes when addressing it. We comfort those in grief by telling them their loved one is just on the other side of the veil, that they have not really gone away. But often this is less than helpful, because the reality is . . . even when we know this, we still miss our loved one terribly. Knowing they are in spirit form now, does not mean we don't ache for their presence physically.

Wanting to take the higher road, we gloss over the dark side of the person who has passed, wanting only to focus on our love and compassion for them. And yet we are all complex human beings and this does not change when we die. Even in spirit form we retain this complexity - the light and the dark. If we pretend that after leaving the body a person's spirit is suddenly enlightened and angelic, we may want to stop and ask ourselves why we are not okay knowing that the evolution of our spirit into the Higher Self continues to unfold even after death.

I mention all of this because many deaths are now occurring, and we may see a continued increase in the numbers of people leaving their bodies in this next year. This is happening, and will happen, for a wide range of reasons, and I don't want to simplify the "why" with a nice, pat answer. Nor do I want in any way to imply that something catastrophic is going to happen. This is not the 2012 of Hollywood's making: a disaster movie of epic proportions. This is a transitional year, and with transition there is death and rebirth. The energy is very intense. For many this felt as supportive energy that moves us forward. But for those who are struggling, it can also bring them to a choice point, of whether to stay or leave.

Sometimes the death is physical, and sometimes not. Some have struggled long and hard with illness and are ready to be released from the confines of their body. Some have struggled with the issues they came here to work on in this life, and not making much progress they have decided to leave, do their work on the other side, and then perhaps come back again when the energy on earth is softer, less turbulent. But there are many, many other reasons, and as I said, I don't want to over simplify this in any way.

The main point is that for those of us who are staying (most of us), we will need to move through the challenging emotions of loss and grief. In those cases where the death is not physical, we will instead be letting go of relationships, homes, or core paths we've been on (this of course has been going on for many in the past few years). We will be redefining ourselves and getting to know who we are in this time of transition. At the same time, much that is new, and therefore potentially disorienting (though ultimately wonderful!) will also be coming into our lives.

I will close with this passage from Lee Harris' 2012 message (italics are mine):

"You can choose how you want to be on Earth. You cannot always choose your circumstances or change things that have happened to you, but you can choose how you want to be. If you are in a great depression or a great disconnection from life; wondering why you are still here, know that this has been a common experience for many over the years. And know that you are still here because you are choosing to be. So get curious as to why. It is not hard to leave this planet. We can do this in many ways. Either through our own actions or “accidents” - the word we like to give these things as humans.

This is why living is so important and in our mind-led ways of being we have forgotten that we are a spark of life that is animating flesh and bone. And it is that spark of life which keeps us here. And the flesh and bone and the maintenance and support of these that allow us to do more."

Closing the Gap

I think this is the longest I have gone without posting, in the nearly two years I have been writing this blog. Some of my readers have complained in the past that I post too much (sorry?), and now some of you may have wondered if I fell off the earth. Nope. Still here. Slogging through the dense, chaotic, and very, very challenging energy that came in after 11-11 took a lot out of me, and rather than continue to whine about it, I decided to wait until I had something constructive to write.

Finally I am on the other side of the long dark tunnel, back out into the light, breathing the fresh air, and feeling oh so glad to be alive and kickin' once again. And just in time, it seems, as I am feeling called on to assist others as much as I can in moving through their own journey to awaken. Because, let me tell you, awakening is not for the faint of heart. It is very rough going at times, though the highs are as delightful as the lows are . . . utterly miserable? I've been through it all, for many years now, and understanding the big picture of why we are going through this roller coaster ride sure does help.

And the Big Picture is essentially . . . in a nutshell . . . that we are going through a massive planetary Shift in Consciousness. May not look that way when you look around and see what's going on in the world and perhaps in your personal life as well. But the turmoil is in fact part of the process. Shaking off thousands of years of dense, dark, oppressive energy is not a walk in the park. And yet, regardless of what you have been experiencing, and witnessing, think about it . . . I'm fairly certain you are also having many moments of excitement, even exhilaration, anticipation, hope, and expansion.

There is the pulse, the pulse deep inside your veins . . . the pulse of change, empowerment, the full embodiment of your soul. The what?? Yes, the full embodiment of your soul. Your soul, which has always been up there or out there, is now coming into your physical being, and becoming anchored within you. You are in the process of closing the gap. The gap which has existed for many thousands of years between your human self, and your Higher Self. This is a gap which was not meant to be . . . it is a chasm that needs to be closed so that we each step back into our Divinity, owning the spark of God/Goddess within ourselves. And then that spark becomes a flame, and the flame is ignited by our breath, and we are literally lit from within.

When this happens to an increasing number of individuals, we reach a critical mass, and suddenly, there is the tipping point. We then begin to see the destructive aspect of the cycle turning into the creative aspect of the Wheel of Life. The breaking down of all that does not serve us continues. However the creation of new systems, new ways of being, of living together, of honoring our relationship with Gaia, and with our cosmic kin, now becomes more visible, and we slowly shift our focus from the dissolution of what broken, to the building up of what is solid yet flexible, balanced, and holistic.

Opening the Door to 2012

As we wrap up 2011, many would like to simply close the door quietly and move on. No end-of-year wrap-ups please. The bumpy ride of this past year is still freshly felt, especially since it has been ending with quite a dust-up for many. So we put our hand on the doorknob of 2012, and hesitate for a moment. This year has been looming in our consciousness for so very long. It is a bit surreal to finally be stepping into it. Perhaps we do so with trepidation, excitement, or curiosity. Few are neutral about what is to come, at this momentous time in our earth's history.

We turn the handle and pull slowly. What is on the other side? Who among you does not wonder? What is on the other side for you personally, for those in your life, and for the world at large?

It will not be a quiet year; there will be "nary a dull moment." The tides of change will be dramatic. We will each experience this differently, depending on our vantage point. And there will be times when we are flowing along beautifully in sync with the new energy, and other times when a wave comes and momentarily knocks us over. This is life, yes, that is the way things always have been. The difference being that it will all be very, very compressed. Our concept of time is shifting and will continue to shift. The year will go by in a flash, and at the same time so much will occur in those 12 months that we will look back in disbelief that this all happened in just one year.

The energy we have already begun to experience in the past two months is not just an amplified version of what came before. It is a new energy, and it takes some getting used to. You may look around and say, "well, things still look the same. There's the same furniture in my home, the same trees in my neighborhood, the same grocery store I shop in." True. But the energy I am referring to is connected with consciousness, though it is also felt on the physical, emotional, and mental level. It is working to connect all of these aspects. If you open to it, allow it in, then it will work its way through you interweaving your soul with your body/mind/emotions. You will move closer and closer to becoming fully integrated in this way.

As you have heard from many, this process of awakening we are going through is not only about expanding our soul - but rather integrating our body with our soul. Knitting the two together. Your Higher Self then is no longer "out there" but "in here." In fact, it is then no longer Higher, but rather simply, your Self.

Most will not complete this process by the end of 2012. But the new and vastly improved energies of this year give us the potential to move further along towards this integration. We can close the gap more in one year than we have over many lifetimes. For all but a few, there will still be a significant gap at the end of the year, though we will have a growing feeling of what it would be like to be all the way there. And this will motivate us to go further the year after, and the year after that. The momentum will continue to build and carry us further than we thought imaginable not too long ago.

There are words and thoughts that I see as being a dominant part of the energy of 2012. One is authenticity. This word has been coming front and center in my awareness for months now, and it seems to be doing so for others as well. You can see the energy of this word playing out on the world stage, as well as within our personal lives. Dishonesty, deception, the masks we wear to appease, please, or control, artifice in all its forms - these are all being pushed to the surface so that we may look and see more clearly. Notice this in politics, religion, education, finance, business - it is becoming more and more blatant and yet still many follow along like sheep. The good news is that many of the sheep are no longer allowing the wool to be pulled over their eyes.

On a personal level we each are being called upon to connect with our core essence. This is what we find when we peel back endless layers of ego, and the stories about who we are, based on what we have experienced. All of the stories about our being wounded by family, friends, lovers, spouses, bosses, teachers, priests; through illness, financial ruin, job loss, . . . or simply circumstances. All these things were quite real. Our pain was understandable. We have been tested and tried by all of this and more. And underneath all of that, who we are, the essence of our Being, remained intact.

And so this is our path: that which takes us closer and closer to rediscovering our core essence. Letting go of anger, of fear, of all our wounds. Accepting our losses as a part of our life's experience. Enfolding all of the joy and the sorrow of each moment of our life and knowing that what really matters is what is even deeper than all that. That essence at our core is pulsing with life. The energy it contains, if unleashed, will light us on fire with passion and creativity.

This, it turns out, is what 2012 is all about. It's not about the end of times; not about being left behind, or ascending up into the ethers. It is about what has been here all along and is just waiting, patiently waiting to be discovered.

Come with me and let's explore. The Universe is within. And what is within creates the Universe. As Above, So Below. As Without So Within. And so it Is.

As we move into the fullness of the Light which is enfolding our planet, and each one of us, I am in a place of gratitude and appreciation for each of you. Your contribution to the evolution of our planet is a blessing you have chosen to give freely. I am privileged to be in your company on this journey. The gifts you bring are like those of the Magi. You carry them with care and offer them with Love and Reverence.

Today I read the latest message from Aluna Joy which brought me to tears, it is so beautiful. When you have the time, please do read it in full. For now, I offer a small sample. I was especially struck by the idea that we are Porters of LIGHT, or living Sun Gates. Thank you Aluna, for delivering this exquisite message:

The Shift to Cosmic Consciousness

That is the nature of the transition at whose very edge you now stand. The last remnants of the core issues of this lifetime have been stimulated to the surface of your awareness for your scrutiny. And your recognition of the habitual patterns of interaction with others, who may continue to tempt you into the arenas of combat, now helps you to distance yourself, vibrationally, from those kinds of encounters.

Ultimately, you come to recognize yourself as the traveler you have come to embody. For you no longer dwell in the depth of the illusion that has dominated your emotional scenery for the duration of this lifetime. . .

The pathways of the emotions you have worked so hard to stabilize are those upon which your consciousness will travel in connecting you with the heightened levels of awareness. For it is your emotional foundation that unites all aspects of the consciousness that make up your multidimensional identity. That foundation, once cleared of the ego-based need to respond to provocation, serves as the pathway upon which all aspects of your multidimensional self unite in Oneness, and recognize that common bond as one that is shared with All Creation."

Post Winter Solstice: The Light Returns

We have just past the Winter Solstice (Summer Solstice for those of you in the southern hemisphere), though the impact lingers for three days after this stillpoint. Most likely you experienced something significant during this exceptionally powerful solstice. I was listening to Jim Self and Geoffrey Hoppe interviewed on The Awakening Zone yesterday. Jim communicates with the Archangels, and he shared that he became aware at the moment of the Solstice that Christ Consciousness had arrived on Earth. No wonder I awoke from a deep sleep at that exact time and felt shaken to the core by the incoming energy.

So why don't we all feel on top of the world, riding high on this influx of the highest level of consciousness in the cosmos? Well, as you probably know, light pushes out the dark and attempts to transmute it. If we allow this to happen, we are then able to embrace the light (higher consciousness) more fully. Our ego doesn't typically like this though, as ego wants to remain in control. Ego is low consciousness and does not want to be displaced or transmuted.

The only way around this death grip that ego has on us is to become consciously aware of it, in all of its guises. Ego is not just about being overly proud or arrogant. Sometimes it is just the opposite - it causes us to think and act small, meek, and passive. We know ego is running the show when we are frequently in judgmental mode (of ourselves or others). Instead of finding ways to create a healthier way of being in the world, we instead spend much time ruminating over the bad behavior of others, or kicking ourselves for our own shortcomings. We tell our "story" over and over about how badly someone is behaving towards us. It's not a matter of ignoring the bad behavior, or turning the other cheek, but if we look within we may discover the reasons why we are being treated shabbily, and we then take action, shifting our thinking, and then our behavior.

Ego also shows up frequently in our attempts to be loved, to be needed, to be viewed as kind, helpful, compassionate, and generous. There is nothing wrong and everything right with these qualities, in and of themselves. But ask yourself, honestly, "why am I choosing to be this way? Is there balance in this behavior, or am I doing it out of neediness?" If you are compulsively giving and giving and giving, and feeling drained, stressed, on the verge of overwhelm, then maybe ego is again doing its dance.

Ego isn't the only reason we may not be having an easy time of it. The energies are dramatic, intense, and creating much chaos and disruption in our lives and in the world around us. We could be the most well balanced egoless person in the world and still feel like crap when the energies heat up. Both Jim and Geoff emphasized that for the next year we may often find ourselves not feeling great emotionally or physically, and often it has nothing to do with us - it is what is happening all around us, on the planet as a whole.

And finally, you may not be feeling the light because you are working hard to grow, to evolve, to raise your consciousness, and this is often painful. This process involves much letting go, and therefore we may feel sorrow and grief. This past month in particular has been one filled with sorrow and grief for many (and there have been many deaths in recent months as well). If you are going through the motions of the holiday season, and only sensing joy and peace occasionally, know that it will get better. In fact, it will get vastly better. Right now though, it's often a choppy ride to say the least. No smooth glide in a winter's sleigh, but more like riding the rough seas in a small row boat.

Keep your eyes on the shore and visualize what you will find there. Hard as it may be to believe right now, we will land there in the not too distant future. Some of you are already there, and setting up camp for the rest of us. Others of us are there and back out at sea, back and forth, sometimes in the same day. Weirdly, I often find myself in both places at once. Because even on days when I am struggling, there is the increasing awareness of the rapid unfolding of the Shift. Like a child at Christmas, I am filled with hope, excitement and anticipation. I hope you are too.

Shining Brightly With Your Love

This is what Love and Joy look like. Our planet is being infused with the essence of Love and Joy, and while you may not feel the Love, or the Joy just yet, you will. It is here and it will become more readily available to each of us as we move forward.

The "real" explanation of this photo is that it is an image of the tail of comet Lovejoy. This comet actually plunged into the sun, remained in the sun's inferno for an hour, and then came back out fully intact. Scientists at NASA are scratching their heads. Think about this. A comet, with the unlikely name Lovejoy, did what no astronomer thought possible. And yet here you are, on planet earth, having survived much the same. Many of you have been through your own cauldron of fire, your mettle tested in every which way. You have endured, and not only endured, but you are shining brightly with your love, and even some pure joy thrown in as well. Yes indeedy, you are each like this invincible comet emerging from your plunge into the heart of the sun, and emerging brighter and strong than ever before.

I can think of no better harbinger of the new energy enveloping our planet, than this perfectly named "supernatural omen":)

For some of us who blog about the Shift, writing has been a challenge lately. Body and mind are not cooperating. Not wanting to dwell on the challenges of this energy surge we are within, we avoid saying anything. Solara calls December's energy a Mega Quantum Surf, and indeed it is not for the feint of heart. It's a wild ride, and not one I would choose to be on, if in fact I had a choice.

Lately I've been getting questions about "what's going on" from people who normally have no clue or interest. Trying to come up with a thumbnail description, this image immediately came to mind: a huge giant is picking us up by the scruff of our neck and giving us a good hard shake. He puts us back down long enough so we can catch our breath, then again, up we go, shake, shake, shake. By the time he's done we'll be lucky to still have the fillings in our teeth. You may have thought you had already let go of pretty much everything you needed to release, but look . . . surprise! See all that is falling our of your pockets. Give it up. The quicker the better.

What can I say? Some of you are doing just fine, some are going up and down, and some are simply crashed. I'm pretty much in the last category, but I keep telling myself "This too shall pass." Soon, very soon, I hope.

And then I get the question: "how long is this going to last?" Honestly, I have no idea. Or, I could say, "it depends." Remember when you were a kid and you begged your mom mercilessly for something, and eventually she would say "maybe, we'll see." Which pretty much meant, forget about it. Don't hold your breath.

So I am trying not to hold my breath. Because I so want to turn the corner and move into a space where my days don't feel like walking through a sea of thick, dark molasses. Any yet, as is always the case, in the midst of all my angst, there are endless moments of expansion, of joy, of exhilaration. Why? Because I know all that we are going through has meaning and purpose. And I see the intense beauty of this world, this cosmos we reside within, and I know that I AM THAT. You ARE THAT. We ARE all of THAT.

Just a brief note to say that we enter the energy of the full moon/eclipse beginning this evening (Thursday) EST. While the actual eclipse does not occur until Saturday, we are moving into the arc of it's magnetic force. There is much else going on astrologically, so these next three days (Friday-Sunday) are going to be filled to the brim.

If you are having a difficult time with this holiday season, it is no wonder. You are living in a new reality. No use in comparing this season to any of the past. Your heart may be aching with grief and loss, or you may be in a whirlwind of excitement due to new beginnings in your life. Either way, life is completely different energetically, because the world is completely different. All of our preconceived ideas of what this season should look like need to be released. The more you can do this, the easier time you will have.

To understand the energy of this month, I highly recommend Lee Harris' month report. We are in a new world. Understanding what is going on will help you to stay stable, flexible, and resilient during these turbulent times. If you are on the upswing, feeling vibrant and excited, then be sure to be caring and compassionate of those who are not. And if you are going through a difficult, challenging time, please let go of your pride and allow others in your life to comfort and support you.

A Good Whine To Be Followed by a Good Wine

These last 10 days or more have been strange, intense, and for many, quite unpleasant. We began feeling this energy after the 11-11-11, but the strangeness began around the time of the eclipse and most likely will continue forward for roughly another 10 days. Not to say that everything is going to be smooth and easy after that, just that this "strange" piece will be smoothed out.

We are in a wormhole, between eclipses, and the cosmic energies are causing much dis-ease. Old physical or emotional issues are bubbling back up to the surface. Many of us feel quite spent, hanging on by our fingernails. No fun.

It's a time when I have fantasies of someone pampering me in a very motherly way. Bringing me a cup of tea, telling me everything is going to be alright. Sigh. In my dreams. In reality I push through the days and the often nasty nights, feeling like I'm walking through muddy water that is up to my nose. Every step requires effort.

These difficult passages can try your patience to the extreme, and test your faith in the idea that any of this is worth while. I find myself thinking about what we are moving towards - the shifts in consciousness on this planet that will allow us to evolve towards a much more peaceful coexistence with one another, with the planet, with the cosmos for that matter. Honesty, authenticity, values based on the Golden Rule. Then I notice how miserable I feel at this moment. And I think: this better be good. This Shift we are going through better get us to a place that is damn good, to make all of this unpleasantness worthwhile :)

Yeah, I am in a truly cranky mode. I'm working on my attitude. Let's say it could use a little adjusting. But maybe instead I will send out invitations to those of you who wish to join my pity party. We'll have a good whine, get it out of our system, and then move on to some good wine. Anyone willing to bring appetizers?

Eclipses, Wormholes, and a Mercury Retrograde, Tra La!

. . . Talk about wild energies! What a ride! The past couple of weeks have revealed huge incoming waves of energies that we have not seen before. They look like very light mist green arcs moving through our dimension. There are others too that look very light silver. These waves are really shaking things up. If you are in balance things are going amazingly well for you. If not, and you are kicking and screaming your way through the current changes, things might not be so pretty for you but that can change!

I am seeing a lot of different symptoms on opposite poles of the spectrum with the current energy influxes. Many are having relationship issues, body pain that is very intense, mild headaches, old emotions surfacing, mineral deficiencies, excess energy, lack of energy and motivation or on the flip side, a huge spurt of creative juices. We can expect these pendulum swings over the next few weeks.

In addition we are also in a whopper of a Mercury Retrograde. This one feels pretty brutal and started affecting us over a week before actually going retrograde. This is a time when we must be very careful about our communications, make sure that what we mean has been heard and not something else, and also to follow up on what we have said or transmitted in emails, letters or any other kind of communication. Many messages are not getting through lately. This can be frustrating but a little extra attention to things can go a long way in alleviating problems!

Her thoughts about the holiday season we are entering are well worth taking to heart:

I suggest that we take that even further and celebrate that we are creating the holidays out of a sense of our inner holiness. Our sacredness. Our connection with the divine forces that bring us life, love, and the ability to feel at all. How we feel and how we live is all by our choice, our free will, and our desire to find both commonality and to stand out. The very animation of us as beings of light. We have the power and the choice to experience this life to our greatest potential or to become victims of those experiences. Live, laugh, love as you never have. These current energies are like a crescendo of magic carrying us to a great opening of beingness. Ride it high and don’t look back!

For me, the way I have been experiencing the past few weeks of energy is much as she describes it: they are wild. It's like riding a bronco, which is something I haven't ever done, but we can all imagine what that might be like. Astrologer Stephanie Azaria writes of our being in a wormhole, between eclipses, with the unusually powerful Mercury retrograde along with other interesting planetary alignments. In Mercury retrograde we are asked to go inward. It is a time for reflection, and most especially integration. Yet the energy right now is such that we feel pulled in two polar opposite directions. Since 11-11-11 we have been full-steam ahead, and yet now we have the contradictory impulse to pull in and allow all the integration to occur.

How do we do this? Who has time for integration these days? So much is happening in our lives that no sooner have we experienced one potent event then we are on to the next. Fast forward is the only button we seem to have. It is stuck in place, and the "pause" button isn't functioning. Somehow we need to learn to reflect and to integrate while we are moving forward. Not easy, but we are learning to do this out of necessity. There is no valid option. If we resist, things don't go very easily for us. "Going with the flow" never had more relevance than it does today!

Planetary Energy Update: Whoosh!!

No matter how aware we may be of The Shift that is taking place, no matter how long we have been awake and conscious to this momentous cosmic process, we each get pulled into the tasks of everyday life and lose sight of the Big Picture. Even though for years I have been pretty much obsessed with learning about and understanding everything I can about what is happening with our planetary Awakening, I still go through the hum of my everyday existence forgetting much of the time. It's called Life. You can't get the laundry done and food on the table if you are standing around in awe of this particular turn of the Cosmic Wheel.

Nevertheless, at this point in time I am rarely able to forget. The energy is just way too strong. It is pulsing and quickening at a dramatic pace, and all around we see the results . . . in our own lives and on the world stage.

There have been moments the last few days when I've thought "holy cow, the energy is crazy strong," and wondered what the heck was going on. Then I stop and laugh: what is going on is that we - this whole planet - is spinning on the evolutionary spiral, upward and upward, and many of us are about to move up to a whole new level of consciousness that even a year or two ago would have been impossible. And millions of others, at all different places on this evolutionary spiral, are also spinning upwards at a velocity that is truly astonishing.

Solara, one of my favorite commentators on The Shift (www.nvisible.com), used the word "super" over and over again to describe the energies of November. I highly recommend her monthly reports, which have a small subscription fee. Personally, I find them invaluable in understanding what is happening. I hope she won't mind my quoting a few sentences from her November report, just to give you a small taste of her observations: "It's super intense, so powerful and so very very Real. It's super focused. It's as though everything in the universe is coming together in a powerful concentrated focus to support the breaking, dissolving and releasing of very old patterning. We can choose to jump in and allow ourselves to be totally reset, or we can try to resist. Resisting will become increasingly uncomfortable. Not resisting will feel like complete miracles are happening." Not much different from what I've been writing myself, however she goes into some wonderful detail in fleshing it all out, in her report.

If you are still holding on to an illusion that you can return to the way things were, please release that. We are living a new reality, or rather the illusions of our old life are gone, and we are seeing more clearly each and every moment. The illusions are being washed away and the rinse and spin cycle is so fast the washing machine is shaking and walking across the floor.

There is still much involved in this that is difficult and painful for many. I want to acknowledge that because no one should feel like they missed the biggest boat ride of their life and are sitting on the sidelines feeling blue. This process can be challenging to the extreme, and believe me I know that from first-hand experience. Please understand though that what is happening is not about any of us individually. It is not about our personal happiness or well-being at any moment in time. It is about a planetary evolution that will make this place in the cosmos the precious jewel it was intended to be, and not the disastrous place of war, violence, greed, hate, and poverty it has become. What is happening goes vastly beyond our individual lives. It is about transformation on the grandest of scales.

And whatever you are experiencing, if you are on this path of awakening, then you are participating in this evolution. No matter how you are doing personally, you are giving something of unique value to this earth. On your worst days as well as your best, this is so. You came here with a strong sense of purpose, you came here on a mission, and whether you are having the best time imaginable or you feel like crap, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that you are fulfilling your purpose whether you are consciously aware of this or not.

We always tell our children "do the best you can. That's what really matters." Yes, do the best you can, because it matters more than you can possibly imagine. Do the best you can because the whole cosmos is counting on us, on you.

Post 11-11-11: Love and Beauty and Sinus Clearing :)

I hope you all have enjoyed the two music videos I shared. If you are feeling stressed they will unwind those nasty tangles for you and calm your mind, uplift your spirit.

I'm hearing from many that there's lots going on physically, both pre and post 11-11-11. Lots of peeps getting ill suddenly, and for some of us just a sense of general, overall detoxing. Whenever we get a blast of new high vibration energy this tends to happen, which is why I have learned over the years not to get too excited in anticipating a big energy surge. As the higher vibrational energy comes in it pushes toxins to the surface, to be cleared out, and these "toxins" could be on a physical, emotional, or mental level. So if you are experiencing physical discomfort or illness, emotional upset, or thoughts which are not of the "happy, happy, joy, joy" sort, this may be as a result of this latest massive influx of light. Unpleasant dreams, extreme fatigue, aching all over, digestive upset, sinus and bronchial issues - these are all typical symptoms during these periods of major energy shifting.

Self care is critical. Lots of rest, lots of water, sea salt baths, aromatherapy, flower essences, being outdoors, healthy earth-based foods . . . all these can help. Two of my favorite flower essence companies in the states are Alaskan Flower Essences (there Fireweed Combo is especially appropriate right now), and Green Hope Farm. Find a company you like and contact them. Ask them what they recommend. Those who work with flower essences are well aware of the earth changes and the plant kingdom is glad to help us in any way they can, sometimes in unexpected ways.

A few weeks ago my niece lovingly sent me a bouquet of roses, just as a way to express her appreciation of my being her aunt. It was so sweet of her, and the roses were just beautiful. Every time I stopped to take them in, I felt their healing power. I kept them long after their peak and then dried a few. Love and beauty are really and truly all that matters when you get right down to it. Everything we need to survive and flourish flows from these twin flames. They are the galactic center.

The Wheel of Life: Shifting from Darkness to Light

Today as I was changing out of my yoga clothes I glanced at the clock and saw it was 12:12. I then noticed that another clock, which had not been taken off of Daylight Savings Time, read 11:11. I smiled. Just now I looked at a clock and saw it was 3:33. I decided it was time I sat down and wrote a new blog post. Because life is way too exciting, interesting, and magical and I am eager to reconnect with all of you who are on this journey with me.

How have you been experiencing the past three weeks? We had the end of the Mayan calendar (according to Calleman ) on October 28th, and then two weeks later the long anticipated 11/11/11. Soon to complete this trinity of powerful dates we will be moving through the energy of 12/12. And while this year's 12/12 will not be as notable as next year's, it is still considered to be a highly significant passage for us all.

As we move towards the end of 2011, many of you will be glad to see the last day of this momentous year. Goodbye 2011 and don't slam the door on your way out! It has been a dramatic and challenging year, with a steady ride of highs and lows, and little in-between. Many experienced life altering changes, however even if you did not, you probably felt the seismic energetic shifts that were occurring on the planet. You felt it on a visceral level, as the energy shifts were having a huge impact on us physically. And you felt it emotionally as well. Your perspective changed on many aspects of life, and this change was so thorough that you may not even realize it - you may have so thoroughly let go of the old beliefs that you don't remember having held them just a short time ago.

On 11-11-11 at 11:11 a.m. I was on stage in Scottsdale, Arizona with a large group of other Lightworkers, celebrating the energy wave. We danced, and hugged and basked in the joy of the moment. We were all attending the 11/11/11 conference offered by Steve and Barbara Rother's Lightworker organization (www.lightworker.com). Celebration at that moment seemed so fitting. I realize many were meditating (in their own time zone), and I am grateful for all of you who were doing so. I had expected we would be doing the same, but The Group (which Steve channels) felt we should be celebrating. We have worked so hard to get to this moment. We have averted many dark potentials that were predicted in the early years of this Shift of the Ages. And while the Shift is far from over, we are at a tipping point.

The process has been one of pushing all that no longer serves us to the surface, and then clearing it out to make way for that which is built on a solid foundation. This process will continue for many years. It has taken millennium for all of this darkness to be created, so we cannot expect it to move out overnight. However, as this deconstruction continues, the construction of the new will pick up speed and begin to grab our attention, giving us a heightened sense of hope, and an enlightened awareness of the potential for the creation of our new earth.

I am slowly integrating all that I heard and experienced while at the 11/11/11 conference. In addition to the Rothers, we had Pepper Lewis (who primarily channels Gaia), and Peace Troubadour James Twyman. It was my first experience at such a gathering, and what I learned will be informing my writing as it coalesces in time. However, the immediate knowing that I took with me was this: our days of being alone on this journey are over. So many of us spent years feeling like a Stranger in a Strange Land. No more. We are increasingly finding ways to connect with others on this path and to enjoy the impact that community can make on our lives. Look around. There are many of us on this planet now. Find others in any way you can: in person or online. The need for connection is powerful in humans. Get up on the stage of life with others, and dance!

11-11-11 and Armistice Day

First, I hope that those of you who subscribe to my posts and get them by email, noticed that I sent out two yesterday. I try not to do that but posted before I realized they were both going to go out the same day. Hope you got to see them both. It's a lot to read, but I think you may find them helpful.

Okay, on with my 11-11-11 theme. One thing I have been pondering, which I have not seen mentioned elsewhere is this: November 11th is Veteran's Day, earlier called Armistice Day, and before that Remembrance Day (and it has other names in various countries). It is the day a treaty was signed to end World War I on the Western front. It was intentionally set for 11-11 at 11 a.m. because it made for good p.r. copy. The decision to end the war was already made, but many continued to lose their lives so that the Allies and Germany could wait until the "right moment."

Nearly a century later we are having a redo. We are focusing our collective intention on this date for very different reasons . . . Or are we? In essence there certainly is some similarity. In a sense humanity has been at war for thousands of years. With the Shifts taking place on our planet, with the help of activating triggers such as 11-11-11, we are moving away from this pattern of violence. Just as with the original Armistice Day, not all conflict will end right then. Some will linger on, in some cases for years. But the collective acquiescence to war is ending. Maybe it is ending for economic reasons . . . how much sense does it make to spend billions on war when we are broke, people are hungry, people are sick and dying in the richest country in the world, our roads and infrastructure are a mess, and our education system is grossly underfunded?

Perhaps 11-11-11 will be the time when we begin to make peace with ourselves, with our environment, with other people, with the animal and plant kingdoms. Maybe it will be a time when we simply begin to fulfill the dream . . . finally . . . of MLK. Make it a reality. It can happen. Set the intention and see it unfold.

11-11-11 More Thoughts

Yesterday I received an email from Denise LeFay which was sent out to all her blog readers. She was writing to tell us that her computer had suddenly died which is why she hadn't been posting. Denise, on the small chance you are reading this, your computer crashing is all part of our being taken offline which I wrote about earlier this week.

In my area, it's happening on a massive scale as millions have lost their connection to the electric grid - no lights, no heat, no water, no internet. The Universe tends to add an extra dollop to these messages so the last time this happened, a mere two months ago, my car broke down just before Hurricane Irene hit. This time, in the aftermath of a massive, freak snow storm, not only did I lose power (still don't have it back), but my cell phone died. I am being shown in no uncertain terms that being disconnected to the old grid is necessary for the new energetic matrix to be activated. This will happen on 11-11-11.

Health issues have also been popping up for many. Often it has been in the form of minor colds, flu-like symptoms, lots of sinus congestion, backaches, G.I. or bladder issues. It's all about clearing out. The last dregs of the old toxins our bodies have held onto are being pushed out. A friend had 11 benign nodes removed from her thyroid on 11-1-11. Talk about clearing your throat chakra! Perfect example of how we are being readied for the massive shift that is taking place which is all being activated by those now familiar numbers: 11:11.

We've been seeing these numbers for many years. Some started seeing them as much as two decades ago. Now the alignment is happening. We are coming into alignment with the energy of 11:11 which is that of Oneness. As I have written before, this is not about losing your personal identity and merging with some big blob of whatever. It's about finding the balance between your unique expression of Divinity and the simultaneous consciousness of all other forms of Divinity. These forms include everything in the cosmos, so we will begin to sense into our interconnection with all other people, all other forms of life on this planet, and also, vastly beyond this, all else that exists everywhere in the cosmos.

11:11:11 is the activation of all this. It will not happen overnight on a third dimensional level. But in the etheric, near earth realms, this shift will be felt on a massive scale. And whatever happens on that plane (the fourth dimension), will then begin to manifest on the physical planet. The two are inextricably interconnected. This process will then allow for the planet to elevate to the 5th dimension over the next several years. But many are already living in a 5th dimensional state of consciousness (or beyond,) regardless of where the rest of the planet is residing.

Whatever is happening in the so called "real world," if you are on this path of consciousness enlightenment, then you will experience this shift in a big way in your life. The era of the old falling away will subside in your life, and you will experience an influx, on a very significant level, of the new. It will potentially shift your level of awareness and the way you experience life on a fundamental level. On a concrete level, you will see opportunities begin to emerge. Carpe diem. Seize the day. Notice I said opportunities. I didn't say things would just magically change in your life. Doors will open, however it is up to you to walk through them. This is not a time to play it safe, to be timid, to hold back. Open your heart, spread your wings, and know that finally, the Universe will support you in your endeavors. We have had to push up against so much dark energy throughout our lives. This is about to change. And while it may seem like an overnight change, many of us know it's been decades in the making. It started out as a few drops of water, built into a pond, a lake, a river, and eventually became an ocean. Now that ocean has risen up in a massive wave and washed the land clean, so we can begin to built anew.

Let's get to it.

11-11-11 - Some Thoughts

I was just noticing the number of visits yesterday to my blog post of last January on the 1-11-11 energy. Clearly lots of peeps are wondering what is up for the upcoming 11-11-11 and are gathering all relevant information.

Moving towards this auspicious date is exciting, though I imagine for some there is a bit of trepidation as well, for a variety of reasons. Some fear they have not progressed enough and will be left behind, others fear some natural disaster, some just worry that they will feel like crap when the energies flow in, as this can sometimes happen. Expansion sounds great, but in reality it doesn't always feel great initially.

As far as the whole "left behind" thing, honestly, put that one to rest. That's your ol' time religion whispering in your ear, telling you that you aren't good enough. The fact is, wherever you are, you can go further, and that is true for each and every one of us. Evolution is like that. When we are committed to evolving our consciousness, there is never an end point, unless you eventually bump right up against the Center of Creation, i.e., your version of God. Not too worried about that happening for most of us.

To repeat what you have heard a million times, consciousness evolution if a process, not a goal. Evolution is as natural as the unfolding of a seed into a seedling, into a plant, into a tree. We are all encoded to evolve, not just physically, but more importantly, our consciousness, the essence of our being. For many, that process is derailed due to resistance in all it's forms. Ego shouting "no way, I'm not going to change, I like the way I am now. This is just the way I am, so leave me alone."

It takes commitment and, yes - that dirty word - discipline - to pull back away from that resistance and allow "what is natural, what is infinite, what is yes" (to quote e.e. cummings) to happen. And what if you do it more slowly than the next person? Is the wrath of God going to smote you? Probably not. In my state of consciousness, God sees the beauty in each of us and tends to find judgement some weird habit humans have picked up.

So chill. Wherever you are in your journey, just keep on moving forward in any way you choose, and know that there are times when you will move sideways or backwards, and you know what?? Big friggin' deal. Look at it this way: the detour is giving you some valuable information. In the end, it's all good. Just fold it in to yourself.

The unpleasant times are not about doing something wrong. They are just different flavors of this thing called life. And they are all part of the human condition: i.e., why we came to this planet in the first place. The whole "earth is a classroom" thing. Yup. Some classes you are going to ace without breaking a sweat, and others you will seemingly fail regardless of how hard you try. But that kid who aced everything back in high school, and got voted most popular, and came from a loving family . . . well, like everyone else, that kid grew up and experienced loss, and grief, and disappointment. And even failure. Just took him a little longer to get the real lesson. So try not to judge him and definitely don't envy him!

Anyhow, what about 11-11-11? Well, these super charged gateways give us the opportunity to move forward much faster. Wherever you are on the en-lighten-ment path, including square one, if you open to the energies of that day (which are already present now), you get to leapfrog forward in one delectable splash. When we do this, we land in a "place" where we see more clearly. We "get" things we were clueless about before. We become more in alignment with our divinity which means, like God, we become less judgmental, not only about others, but about ourselves.

The "lighten" in enlightenment means we embody the Light. We become the Light. The energies of 11-11-11 will allow you to do more of this. How much? Well, it depends. Again, let go of expectations. And if you feel crabby and ill tempered on 11-12-11, so what? You can't know what that means. Ultimately, this whole process is largely a mystery to most of us. Personally I think it's a mystery to all of us, but some like to pretend otherwise.

How do you open to the energies? Well, mostly by just not being in resistance to them. Have an open heart, and an open mind. Let go of expectations because honestly if there is one thing I've learned about the whole long Awakening process is that it's never what you expect it to be. Let yourself be surprised.

I should have known better than to tempt fate and publicly state I was doing well. That was Friday. Friday night I came down with a flu-like virus, and Saturday we got hit with a bizarre snow storm that knocked out the power grid once again. Taken off-line - that's something all of us going through this Shift have experienced at one time or another. We are gently or abruptly moved out of the stream of life for a period of time. Sometimes it feels like it's just your own little personal shut down, and other times it's obviously not. In this case, I have the company of millions of others, who like me, lost their electricity with the storm.

Roads are closed, schools and business as well, telephones don't work, many do not have heat, water, lights. We are fortunate to have a small generator which keeps our house warm, the water running, and a few lights on. Mostly I do not have internet (I am running my laptop off of my husband's iPhone at the moment).

And so it goes. Friday - as you know if you read my blog - was the last day of the Mayan calendar, according to Carl Calleman. We are already in the energies of the massive 11-11-11 Stargate coming right around the corner. There is so much going on in the cosmos related to the Shift that my head has been just about bursting trying to take it all in and make sense of it. Given all this, it is no surprise this storm came barreling through just at this time. We are in a chaotic node, as Tom Kenyon's Hathors call these times. At least it feels chaotic, and it looks chaotic too, but there is always, always, an inherent order to the seeming chaos. It is purposeful.

Going back to my point about being taken off-line, this happens when we are undergoing various energetic upgrades. Sometimes it is on an individual level, sometimes it is happening to large numbers, more and more we see it happening on a very large scale, of epic proportions. And what we are going through at this moment in our planet's history is truly nothing short of epic. There are no adjectives strong enough to even come close to capturing the magnitude and import of this passage we are journeying through right now.

I may feel like crap, but nevertheless, I am still able, now and then to lift my head up above the chaos in my life and see that this hurricane, blitz, tornado, tsunami - whatever label you want to try slapping on it - of energy is truly wondrous to behold. And you chose to be here at this moment, to help create this massive opportunity of consciousness evolution. Imagine that. Little you and little me, and a few million other "little" peeps joined together, elbow to elbow, shoulder to shoulder, to move this third rock from the sun onto an entirely different orbit. Not too shabby for our motley crew!

The Universe says: give yourself a hug and a cosmic pat on the back.

Before I run out of steam and turn back into a pumpkin (and oh by the way, Halloween has been cancelled around here ... there is definitely some metaphoric meaning in that, but I don't have the energy to put my finger on it just now :) . . . one little tidbit about 11:11:11. Many of us have been wondering what the heck we are supposed to be doing with our lives. So much of what used to get us excited and engaged now feels flat. And we have been wondering when we are going to stop spinning our wheels, or feeling like the parade is passing us by. Well according to those who are wiser and more in-tune with the cosmic pulse than I am, after the 11:11:11 we will know. We'll have our marching orders and know what our next assignment is, should we choose to take it. Like always, I have a wait and see attitude. Would be nice if that were to happen. Hoping they are right. In the meantime I'll settle for feeling well again and being back in the flow of life.

Oh, and one more point . . . about being taken off-line. In my case it is literal. The storm knocked out the power grid in a large swath of the northeast U.S. So yes, there are crews out all over removing downed trees and replacing wires, getting us back up online. But there are also the etheric crews - and some of you are part of this - who do the work on the crystalline grid that is being reactivated around our planet. Lots of work has been going on with that in the past decade. And I am assuming that the area I live in is receiving a massive upgrade in its connection to the etheric, crystal grid, which necessitated the physical grid being shut down. For those of you working on this, thank you!! Believe me, my neck of the woods really needs it. I live in the orbit of major finance and business. So much dense, stuck energy here. I'm looking for some major changes energetically once this is complete. I'll keep you posted!

How are you all doing? I'd love to get some feedback. One of the difficulties of writing a blog is that I don't personally know most of my readers, so it's challenging to know what's going on with each of you.

What I am seeing is a variety of responses to the current huge uptick in energy, which began about two weeks ago, and is now in full swing.

Some are responding with fear, anxiety, even panic. They are having a hard time coping with whatever is going on in their lives, or feeling a generally heightened sense of unease for no specific reason. I have spent time in this category in the past, so if this is where you find yourself, I send you a cosmic hug of support. It isn't easy for you right now, so do whatever you can to get plenty of self care, and don't feel guilty that you need it.

Those who are typically ungrounded are more ungrounded than ever and are not always easy to be with for that reason. They may be especially spacey, or talking a mile-a-minute, jumping from one thought to another.

Others are simply spent. They are so done with all they've been through with this whole Shift, and they simply want out of this evolutionary spiral. I can fully understand that, though I would say this to you: if you have worked this long, and this hard, in facilitating our planet's upgrade, wouldn't you like to stay and experience what you have created? You've earned a front row seat, and the royal treatment to boot!

And then there are those who are riding high, feeling expansive and in-love with life, perhaps for the first time in a long while (remember this past summer??? Not an easy time to be in love with life for many of us :) I've been fortunate to find myself in this category, and believe me, it's been a long slog getting here, so I'm relishing the moment. Don't know how long it will last, but for the moment it sure feels good.

Take a deep breath ... and dive into the new era. Or I should say, THE NEW ERA. It's happenin' folks, it's really and truly happening, and some of us have been waiting and anticipating this new beginning for years, or even decades. I'm a bit speechless, so I will instead share this poem, which most of you have already read, and yet it is so very fitting for this momentous, auspicious occasion, the end of the End and the beginning of the Beginning:

Two Powerful Weeks Ahead

With so many informative posts from others coming across my radar screen, I figure I might as well just keep passing these along rather than write anything myself :)

Here is a post from Celia Fenn on the energy of 11/11/11 and what is coming in the next year. I've always found her writing to be a bit too flowery for my tastes, but I do respect the insight she has regarding these transformative times.

Just a reminder that this Friday, October 28th, is the last day of all nine waves of the Mayan calendar, based upon the calculations of Carl Johan Calleman, Mayan calendar expert. Then 11/11/11 is just a mere two weeks later. These two weeks are likely to be game changers on our planet, on many levels, and possibly in your personal life as well. No way to predict what that will look like, though I will tell you that like many others, I am riding the crest of a wave, feeling buoyed by the vitality and freshness of the new energy pouring in, and . . . at the same time . . . there are brief moments when a profound grief comes over me. So, yes, I am excited about what is unfolding, yet I know there will most likely be aspects of this time that are challenging.

How we experience the coming days and weeks will depend on where we are on our path, and how well we have mastered the ability to let go and trust.

In addition to the end of the Mayan calendar, and the 11/11/11, much is happening astrologically as well. It is, of course, all woven together, of the same cloth. To keep up with that energetic realm I mostly read Stephanie Azaria's The Cosmic Path daily posting. [There is a fee for her posts, and personally, I find it well worth it.] She blends the practical with the cosmic, and I appreciate how well she does this. For example, today she advises:

Mind/Body connections are shifting to a new consciousness. Let them shift. Your higher self knows what to do and your lower self most definitely does not. It’s in your best interest right now to say it out loud: “I don’t know anything.” By taking this stance you step out of your own way and the path is made clear … crystal clear.

In other words, get out of your left brain which is always trying to figure everything out, and trust. Your HS really does know what's best, even if your lower self may want to argue and complain endlessly. Or, to put it in another way, go into what the Buddhist's call "Beginner's Mind." Assume you know nothing and enter into each moment of your life with curiosity and openness.

If things get choppy, and you are inclined to go into fear, here's a bit of advice: I recently listened to an interview with an author about a rather devastating professional experience she'd just had. When asked how she managed to cope with it, she replied (I love this!): "I just decided to pull up my 'big girl' panties and get on with my life." Words of wisdom. Sometimes that's all you can do.

Shedding the Old and Soaring Like An Eagle

Hello friends. I haven't written a weekly report in some time due to the great contributors we have here at Cosmic Weather, but this coming week is quite significant in several ways and I was given some inspiration this morning in my preferred place of connectivity (the bathtub!)

We've learned and experienced so much over the past Summer and early Fall, and we are being called to a greater level of awareness and refinement in the Scorpio energies. I was shown that for those that have been in awareness and have done the necessary work, they will be having a decidedly different experience this season than in the past. It has been said by astrologer Dale Osadchuk and the Keepers that Snake Medicine is present for the upcoming New Moon in Scorpio on 10/26. The Keepers have said that Eagle Medicine is also present. So what does that mean for us? When we shed the old and outdated skins we get to fly with the Eagles! Beautiful. Eagle Medicine is highly cherished as it is akin to Great Spirit itself.

We also learned the power of Fear as a distraction, addiction and the drug of choice for the Reptilian Brain. The doomdayers have lowered the volume on their megaphones, as you have probably noticed, but there are still many out there still indulging. I agree with Steve Rother (of the 2012 Scenario,) when he said that fear is no longer useful for our evolution, spiritually or on any other level. It has become crystal clear that LOVE is the required fuel for this leg of the journey; and fortunately for us there is plenty of it around.

This coming week we have the New Moon, the celebration of the completion of the Mayan Ninth Wave on 10/28 and Halloween/Samhain celebrations. I was shown a vision of a celestial stairway and that these new dimensions of love, light and power are the fruits of our labors. For those that have been steadfast in the journey and in the Work, we salute you. This is a time of great harvest and celebrating, especially in preparation for 11-11-11.

There are powerful transformation energies present all week to heal, release and transmute any energies that no longer serve us. Soar with the Eagles, dear friends!

Stay Open to All Possibilities

I just reread a September post of Aluna Joy's and with the end of the Mayan calendar this Friday, and the 11-11-11 portal coming fast on it's heels, I found this quote especially relevant:

"We will not know what is ahead of us. Nor will we know the day or hour of the completion of this transformation and the shift of ages. No prophet, channel, mystic or intellectual knows the answer to this one. As Jeshua shares “Keep your lamps lit.” In other words, stay open to all possibilities. Stay ready to leap when all the possibilities converge into your new heart center, and the door opens for you to finally land that jet liner. We are in the same boat now . . . just as we should be . . . as we to leap unified as ONE."

Creating the New Earth

I have been thinking about all the different roles that are needed to create the New Earth. It is like a thousand flowers blooming in the desert. And it gives me chills of excitement to see the budding of these flowers. We will begin soon to move full speed from the (primarily) destructive phase of the cycle of consciousness evolution - where the old ways are cleared out - to the constructive phase - where a new way of living unfolds on our planet.

Those out on the streets participating in the Occupy Wall Street movement are the Western version of the Arab Spring. It is a gentler, milder version by far, yet no less important. They are waking up the slumbering masses, who have been so numbed by the oppressive rule of systems that serve no one's higher good, that they could not even imagine anything being different. How many said to me last winter that these protests in Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Libya, etc. would never work? And yet we now hear the same coming from those too entrenched in the old world to imagine the new.

There are the thousand flowers of innovators following in the trailblazing path of Steve Jobs who will turn this world on its head and bring forth technological solutions to problems that have seemed insurmountable. These problems were only insurmountable because the power elite were making too much money on status quo. For example, technology to make hugely more energy efficient cars has been available for years and is now finally being allowed to come online. This is but a small example, since the whole issue of energy resources is about to be resolved within the next few years.

My daughter-in-law is studying to be a Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist/Herbalist. Given her personality, and "fire in the belly," I know she will be one of many who will transform the way we do health care. Learning how to care for ourselves, to prevent illness, will become commonplace in the next decade. And with the dark energy that is rapidly being removed from our planet we will find that the rate of illness will become substantially reduced. Why? With so much dense, toxic energy on the planet, even if you did everything right in caring for yourself, you could still get sick. With the new energy flowing in, we will find that when we do the right things (food, exercise, rest, etc.), we actually see results. And fast! As the way we raise and distribute food changes (more important roles there), what we put in our body will truly nourish us, on every level. Gaia will be able to give abundantly what she has always desired us to have.

There are major roles to be played in transforming education, and a wealth of ideas are flourishing. As with technology, it is "only" a matter of removing the rigid barriers to creative solutions for this system, based on old ways of thinking and doing, to be dramatically changed.

I could go on and on, but I know each of you can easily come up with your own list of "important change agent roles for transformation." And like most of you, I can easily go to a place of doubt. How can this happen? We are so stuck in the muck when it comes to health care, education, energy, transportation, food production, etc. And yet go back to my original point. So many doubted the possibility of decades of dictatorship ending in those countries erupting in a passion for freedom. Only months later - not even a full year! - so much has changed.

Plus, there is the role of "frequency holders" which continues to make all of the above possible. We are here to build up the higher frequencies within ourselves and then anchor them on our planet. We typically do this quietly, behind the scenes, invisibly assisting in our planet's transformation in ways that are profound and essential.

Dare to hope. Dare to believe. And please envision the world as you want it to be.

Joy, Beauty and Wonder: The Holy Trinity

Welcome to the New Earth. It is forming even as I write these words. In the time it takes for each keystroke, more progress is being made in moving us into the Light than has happened in the past millennium. Warp speed. The spiral of Light we are on is spinning so fast that darkness is being propelled outward and we will/are feeling it's effects less and less as this continues.

We are approaching the end of the Mayan calendar on 10/28 and the major portal of 11/11/11 is right around the corner. Every time you see an 11:11 it's like the Universe is winking and reminding you that reality is a lot like Alice in Wonderland: not at all how it appears on the surface, as Alice found out when she left the surface of earth and journeyed down the rabbit hole. So imagine 11/11/11 being one GIANT cosmic wink. How cool is that??!! The story of "reality" that we have been told is being seen as just that ... a story. And we now get to create new stories, new realities.

Personally, the story of my new reality is one that is filled with beauty, joy, and wonder. How about you? My whole life has been a gathering up of beauty, in all forms. I collect beauty and store it within. I find this beauty in words spoken and written, in nature, and in sound/music. I find beauty in landscapes and conversations, in poetry, prose, paintings, food lovingly prepared, time spent talking with a friend, celebrations with food and wine. Dancing and yoga bring me joy. Being with peeps who "get it" expands my spirit.

During a long, severe illness, I would focus my attention on the smallest detail that held beauty. The handmade quilt on my bed gave this gift to me, as did the trees outside my windows, photos of my children, the sound of a Tibetan bowl, the flow of Reiki energy from my husband's loving hands. Beauty is always available to us. Pain and suffering tries hard to take it away, snuff it out, but it never fully succeeds. This is because we were created in Joy and in Beauty. Our soul essence is a brilliant light which is an expression of Source. Behold yourself in Wonder, because you are, wonder-full.

Brazilian Orbs, and Crystal Skull Orbs

A friend of mine was in Brazil this summer with her daughter, at the John of God Casa. A family which lives next to the Casa has a gathering every week for anyone who wants to attend. These photos, filled with orbs, were taken that evening. Pretty amazing!

And below is a photo taken at my home on the night my metaphysics group met recently. A friend was giving a presentation about the Crystal Skulls and this photo was so full of orbs that there appears some of them have blended together into what looks like a white mist.

The Winds of Change Sweeping the Planet

First, I highly recommend channel Lee Harris' October energy report: "Winds of Calm, Winds of Chaos, Winds of Change."

I love the title of Lee's report, because it says it all. This is what the energy of this month is all about, and will continue to be through next year. Interesting that Lee states that the energy of 2012 starts this month, not in January. Intuitively, that feels right to me. Later this month, on October 28th, we experience the end of all Nine Waves of the Mayan calendar. This is the date that Carl Johan Calleman, Mayan calendar expert, gives for this culmination of the Mayan prophesy, not December 21, 2012.

Whether you adhere to the 12/21/12 date, or the 10/28/11 date, the one certainty is that no one knows what will follow after these dates. For me, I have a strong feeling that the 28th of this month will serve as a major "tipping point," as will 11/11/11, 12/12/12; and 12/21/12. I don't sense that any one of these dates is a full stop end or beginning of an era. It's happening in steps, as Denise LeFay likes to say.

The dramatic shifting we are witnessing around the world at this moment, with thousands taking to the streets in protest, is a potent sign that finally, finally, real change is about to occur. I had wondered for a very long time if the people in my own country - the sleeping dragon - were ever going to wake up. Honestly, I was beginning to despair of this ever happening. I saw the growing cynicism and disconnect of many whose lives have been profoundly impacted by the endlessly stuck energy of the old guard. Many lost hope when the elation of Obama's election was followed by a continuation of all the old policies across the spectrum - economic, financial, military, justice, and health care.

We often look at the earth changes - dramatic weather events, earthquakes, flooding, fires - as something fearsome and frightening. Yet these events have in fact been clearing out massive amounts of dense energy. This had to happen before real change could occur. For example, the earthquake and hurricane we experienced in the eastern U.S. in late August, paved the way for the Occupy Wall Street protests. Gaia is working with us, not against us. And we in turn need to work with her, with love and appreciation, rather than pushing back with fear. As I have written before, we are one with Gaia. No matter where in the Universe you came from, you are here now, and you are of Gaia, not just living on her. Understand this, because it is very important. Think of how important self love is, and how our ability to love others flows from this starting point. Now think of what it means to be detached from Mother Earth, or, worse yet, to abuse and misuse her.

Our consciousness and Gaia's consciousness are One. There is no separation. We are part of one body. And just as many have been completely disconnected from their own bodies - unaware of its feelings, oblivious to its messages, until the messages get so loud and clear we have to sit up and take notice - so we have done the same with Gaia. We have shut her off, ignored the fact that She is Us.

We have done so at our own peril. Her messages are now loud and clear. But again, beyond the messages, there is the interweaving of our consciousness, and so we recognized that in order for The Shift to fully occur, cleansing needed to take place. And just as our own bodies have been cleansing endlessly, and our lives in general have also, so too is Gaia detoxing herself. It's really all the same. No separation.

There is also no separation when it comes to our solar system, and our galaxy, and the cosmos as a whole. All is One in Consciousness. There is ultimately no "out there" as opposed to "in here." The energies of each planet, the sun, the moon, the Milky Way galaxy, and beyond, are all of One. The term "stream of consciousness" takes on a whole new meaning when you think about this, as does the the term "Oneness."

What's Going On? Planetary Energy Matrix

The energy matrix we are in right now is creating massive change on our planet, and within each of us. I am doing my best to learn about what is evolving so I can pass this information on to you.

For those of you who would like a more in-depth understanding of what is happening with the solar flares, try reading Denise LeFay's thoughts on this in her latest blog post, which is based in part on the work of Barbara Hand Clow.

After reading Denise's fascinating take on what she sees, I posed this question to Meg Blackburn Losey, as I have great respect for her work and her insights into cosmology:

Me: I have been hearing that the super-charged energies we are experiencing now are coming from the Super Galactic Center. Any thoughts?

Meg: I don't see it that way. In fact the galactic center is putting pressure on us, pushing out at us so to speak. The super charged energies we are feeling are from multi-dimensional events such as the star gates and their passageways reopening. That in addition to astronomy events and interactions intensified the energies as well as redirects them so that they come at us in different angles than previously.

I am not trying to pit one expert against another, but rather to offer to you, my readers, some of the ideas coming from those who have insight and awareness of the cosmic forces at work in our evolution. I try to focus on what feels right to me intuitively, and then weave these strands together, as "truth" is often fluid and multifaceted. I am grateful we have a number of intelligent and cosmically conscious individuals who are helping us understand the intricacies of this process. I thank Meg and Denise for offering their pieces of the puzzle for us to see more clearly the full picture.

To add one more voice to the mix, in a brilliant channeled message I recently heard through Lee Harris, the observation was made that much of the energy matrix of the Shift is coming from within the earth, not from the cosmos. So there's yet another piece of the puzzle. And that's the way I look at all of this: each keenly aware observer has a different piece of the puzzle, and as we place them together, we see the complexity of the dynamic forces that are working on us and through us. It's a multilayer, multidimensional, endlessly fascinating process. And when I am not totally worn out by it all, I love pondering it!

Solar Flares and Planetary Awakening

We are just now coming out of a very long period of massive solar flares followed by a geomagnetic storm in our atmosphere (the flares cause the "storm"). They started up late last week and only just finally settled down on Friday, though given how active the sun has been lately, it's quite possible they will start right back up again. (Update: since I wrote this Friday night, a new M Class Solar flare has begun.)

This is all part of the planetary awakening process. For those of us who are open to evolving towards our Higher Self, and reconnecting with our divinity, the flares carry information that trigger us in this evolution. They are stretching our energy fields, expanding us into the fullness of our Self. And when we stretch this way, it hurts. It can kick up a lot of dust emotionally, and it can cause flare ups of chronic health conditions. As unpleasant as it feels, it is all, ultimately for the good. Our physical, mental, emotional, and etheric being is having to adjust to holding more light. The analogy I recently used with a friend is this: you are outside in the dark, and you step into a brightly lit room. At first the brightness feels like an assault on your senses. Your pupils dilate, you squint, you may even want to cover your eyes with your hand. But once you adjust to the light, you are then able to see with clarity. You look around and notice so much more. You are able to relax into this new state of seeing.

In times of high level Solar Flare/Geo-Mag activity we can experience any or all of the following symptoms: heart palpitations, headaches, nausea, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, depression or anxiety. Those with fibromyalgia, clinical depression, arthritis, I.B.S. and other conditions, may find their symptoms exacerbated. So needless to say, periods of high level activity can be challenging to say the least.

The good news is that we are actually being "vibrationally upgraded" as the Keepers have often mentioned in reference to solar flare activity. Those that have been receiving Reiki or other forms of energy work have been getting a bit of a head's start on this action, but the good news is that we are ALL receiving an energy treatment courtesy of our own Sun!

As the earth vibrationally upgrades, so do we. The periods of high level activity while they can be challenging, are nothing to be afraid of and can actually be viewed as a *gift* in our own evolution and ascension process.

Q: What are the ramifications of increased CME/solar flare activity on the emotional, mental and physical bodies?

A: The increased light quotient appears to be temporarily "flaring out" archaic, stuck patterning, and is doing so very efficiently. One does not need to study or examine the pattern as it comes up, but just to be willing to release it. While in one sense it may feel like an energetic "crash course," it is serving to speed up the one's healing and personal vibratory growth process. The physical Earth herself is also reflecting these changes, along with you. The lightening of the mental and emotional bodies will have a subsequent effect on the physical body as well. Keeping in mind that the physical vibrates at a slower vibration and may experience these changes in a delayed reaction; but soon that will no longer be the case your physical bodies continue to be refined and transformed. ~ The Keepers, 9.29.11

Some helpful tips on how to navigate periods of strong flare activity:

1) Eat healthy and protein rich food. If you are vegan/vegetarian, you are probably well versed in non-animal product protein sources. Be sure to get your usual daily allotment and you might want to up that according to your needs. You may be tempted to go for the "comfort foods" that are rich in sugar, carbs, etc. but that actually can make the physical symptoms worse. If you must indulge, be sure to balance it out with some healthy food in there too. You might be tempted to go without food as some people report a decrease in appetite, but this is to be avoided. Your body needs support nutrients to help process the energies . . .

2) GROUNDING in nature on the land and/or near the Ocean or another body of water is very soothing and may help with the fatigue, body/head aches. Gentle exercise like Yoga and Tai Chi can also be helpful.

3) Flares can be very dehydrating to the body. For example, in the last round I actually developed a pretty wicked case of "dry eye" that I had to see a doctor for. Be sure to drink PLENTY of WATER from a high-quality source. Tap water is always good to avoid for drinking, (unless you live in a place fortunate enough to have clean water from the tap.) You may find your eyes, skin and hair become dryer, so you may want to up the use of moisturizing products.

4) Be gentle with yourself and be willing to alter your routine. If you are not sleeping well, try to fit a nap in here and there if possible. Be mindful that your sleep patterns may change during a flare period and roll with it as much as you can.

5) It is possible that your partner, spouse and other family members are NOT feeling the effects in the same way as you are. It is good to educate and explain what is happening to others close to you, to help them understand and also to avoid the "Are you crazy?" implications. :)

6) Be willing to face the emotions that may be coming up for you. If you find that you are dealing with emotions that are extremely difficult or anxiety-producing for you, please seek the counsel of a friend or a professional counselor or therapist. Be mindful that during these time periods, tempers can also "flare," and do your best to offer yourself and others more wiggle-room than usual. Meditation is a GREAT help to get detachment and more awareness regarding your own emotions. If you don't have a practice you might consider starting one. There are many great beginning level courses available via Sounds True, Amazon, etc.

7) The mantra "This too shall pass" is very helpful. These "waves" of activity when upon us usually last anywhere for 1-2 days to a week at the outside. Try to stay present as much as possible and remember to BREATHE.

Our Differening Roles in The Shift

I've been trying to find the energy and focus to write. Not easy when I'm feeling semi-comatose. I think I have tire tracks on my etheric body from the tractor trailer of energy that keeps running me over, and backing up and doing it again. Jeez, this is getting to feel more and more like a Looney Tunes cartoon, with Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, and the whole crew. So far I haven't fallen asleep while in the midst of a conversation, but if it does happen, and I am talking with you, please don't take it personally :) I'm sure what you are saying is fascinating, but I just need to .... sleeeeeeeeeep.

I know some of you are having a similar experience with the latest avalanche, while others are experiencing this cycle of energy upgrades in a different manner. How you experience each of these waves depends in part of the role you are playing in the Shift.

For example, many going through the expansion of consciousness have roles that require them to be very active. They need to be "on" much of the time, living a life fully engaged with others, giving of their valuable gifts on the world stage, whether that stage be large or small. If this is you, most likely your days are long and full of activity. You are multitasking like crazy, and your spirituality gets expressed in the real world in the way you show up, as well as the actual work you are doing. If you are in this "category" then you are a hearty person, and even if you are being physically and emotionally impacted by the Shift, you are nonetheless able to keep going. This is not to say the Shift is not impacting your life in major ways. You may have gone through much turmoil due to issues in relationships, money, family and friends. And you may have health issues. But the call to get up each morning and get out the door to do your work is powerful. It will typically override all else.

Speaking in very broad terms, there is another, smaller group of lightworkers whose work is primarily invisible. Whether they are consciously aware of it or not, they are working diligently in the etheric realms to make this Shift possible. Their work is varied, sometimes vast, sometimes intricate. These individuals have a very high frequency, and a significant part of their work involves being a frequency holder. This means they are bringing in a energy band that has been missing from our planet for thousands of years. And they are anchoring this frequency here, to "set the tone" if you will, so that the density of the planet can be dissolved. These individuals are, of course, highly sensitive to energy. Consequently, they have a hard time physically and emotionally with all of the earth changes, often experiencing a myriad of symptoms. They find the need to stay close to home, especially when the energy is most intense. They need lots of rest, time in nature, and have a hard time with loud noises, crowds, too much stimulation of any sort. They are nesters by nature, and often are amazing healers. Rarely are they able to handle full time work, though they may have chosen to have children, which is of course beyond full time!

You can easily guess which group I fall into. And like others of this tribe, I often find myself envious of those in the other group. I don't love living a quiet life: it's simply what I need to survive. We live in a world that values action, and no matter how spiritual someone is, there is often a lack of understanding or acceptance for those who are highly energy sensitive. Most don't understand why you can't just buck up and get out the door and do whatever it is that needs doing. I don't say this to judge or criticize. None of us has an easy time imagining what it's like to be someone else. That's the struggle we all have with being human. What's it like being you? What is your felt experience of life from inside your human being? I will never know. I can guess, make assumptions, ask questions, but ultimately I cannot truly know.

And so when I, or anyone else, writes about the current energy, and how you may be experiencing it, it's tricky. Because depending on where you reside on the spectrum of one group to another, as I've sketched out above, you will be having a different experience. Most likely, those who reside closest to you on the spectrum will be reporting an uncanny similarity in their reaction to each energy wave. Those far away from you on the spectrum will be having a very different time of it.

Most of all, I ask that you be aware of these differences, and accepting of them. Step away from judging how others are going through all this, or judging yourself. We all have our different roles to play and it's not a matter of doing things right or wrong, either because you have an easy time of it and rarely feel any thing of what I describe, or because you can relate to it all. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you take very seriously that you came here to serve. You came here not for your own personal good, but to serve All in restoring our planet to a state of divinity, to recreate sacred space on planet earth. You came here to be of service. Please remember that. All of life depends on each of us remembering this.

Pushing the Boundaries

The Anchor of Belonging

This process of awakening we have been going through involves much letting go of connections with others. Marriages end; we find ourselves disconnected from family members; friendships no longer fit the way they once did and so we move on. We may find ourselves being uncomfortable with our place of worship and leaving that community. Perhaps you have lost a job and with it all the coworkers who had been a part of your life for years. Our animal companions die, we move to a new location and our days are therefore filled with unfamiliar faces.

We have in essence lost our sense of belonging, some more so than others. Some have been blessed with core relationships that have endured, or they are part of a family unit or a community which still feels like home. Yet for most, this endless letting go has been painfully prevalent.

What I am seeing, however, is that for many of us who have been on this road for a very long while, this endless stream of letting go is beginning to shift a bit. Even while the letting go is still happening, we find new connections appearing in our lives. The void that was left after so many departures is beginning to be refilled, and those who are coming into our circle are of a different, and often much higher vibration than those who left over the years. At other times, our vibration has moved to a level where we can reconnect with someone from our past and do so in a very different manner than before. We are safely grounded in our power, with a quiet confidence of who we are. They sense this and respond to us differently. There is respect there where before perhaps there was none.

If you are one who has been particularly hard hit with the loss of belonging, now is the time to consider venturing forth and beginning to establish some new earth relationships. For myself, I'm enough of an extrovert that I never fully withdrew. I love the energy of being around others, and am always seeking out connections. Still, I have noticed this shift ... my life is filling up with peeps who I can be with in a way that allows me to expand into the fullness of my being. And these new peeps call on me to rise up to the higher level of my being. Rather than having to step down to where they are, I find myself reaching upwards to meet them on a higher plateau. Stretching in this way feels so very good.

Got Bliss? Maybe Not

A warm welcome to those of you visiting here from Julie's "Diamond Light World" blog. If you like what you read here, subscription is free.

For those of you not familiar with Julie's work, I encourage you to read her most recent blog post, and also her website. Julie is wonderfully grounded, and I often find myself in agreement with one of her observations, such as this one: "It seems that in the metaphysical community it's not ok to admit that we are feeling "not okay". This has been a pet peeve of mine lately. I especially notice it on Facebook which is chock full of lightworkers trying to outdo one another with how blissed out they are with life, every moment. Really? That's great, but honestly, what planet are you living on??

If you are in human form, then you know pain and suffering, frustration, anger, sorrow, along with joy, peace, passion, contentment, pleasure, and, yes, bliss. It's all part of the mix, and this Shift we are going through is amplifying each and every state of emotion we may find ourselves within. There is no value to yourself, or others, to pretend that life is anything but a complex, multifaceted mosaic of experience. It's what we came here to experience. It's how we learn. Consciousness evolution comes when we take these myriad experiences and working through them, moving towards connection with our Higher Self. Learning to be authentic is part of this evolutionary experience, and authenticity involves honestly acknowledging the rich tapestry of life.

This doesn't mean going around grousing about how miserable you are, venting, dumping your troubles on anyone who will listen, nor does it give you an excuse for bad behavior. None of this. Instead, it means we simply, and undramatically speak to the messy mix of our life. We speak from our hearts about the joy, as well as the sorrow. We don't whine, but we also don't slap a happy face on when we are suffering.

The next time someone sincerely asks you "how are you?", pause for a moment and think how you want to answer. If it's a throw-away question, and the person clearly has no interest in hearing a honest answer, then say what you need to say - most of us settle for "fine." However, if it's someone you know well, and who may genuinely want to know, then tell them. Tell them the excitement you are in over a new project; the tug at your heart over missing a child living elsewhere; the pleasure you are taking from your work; or perhaps a challenge you are working through. And then be sure to ask back, and fully listen. Given them your wholehearted attention. Don't be a conversation hog. Open your heart and your ears. That experience of leaning in and really taking in what you are hearing is a gift you can give of yourself, which can have an immeasurable impact on the other person. After all, how rarely do we find ourselves being really and truly heard? This is what being a Lightworker is really about: being fully present to one another, and being authentic.

September Planetary Energy Update

It's been over a week since I last posted, which is quite unusual for me. This past summer has been so intense that on a physical level, I found myself feeling wrung out and rather ill by the end of it all. I am still in recuperating mode. This morning I was recalling how in years past we had Karen Bishop and Lauren Gorgo to keep us steadily up-to-date on what was happening energetically. It was always a great relief to read their posts and know that what I was experiencing was in sync with this whole process of planetary evolution. They made sense out of what seemed on the surface inexplicable. I will always be deeply indebted to them both for that.

Karen has not been posting for quite some time now, and Lauren only posts infrequently. And so when I'm going through a rough patch, I find myself thinking, "I wish someone would post and explain what the heck is going on." This morning I realized that someone is me, that I need to take ownership of what I know and find the energy to put it out there. Not that I am in any way comparing myself to Karen or Lauren, but I figure if what I have to write helps some of you even a bit, then it's well worth it.

For many of you, my observations are not going to be news, however sometimes it's just nice to have what you perceive reinforced.

So here goes ...

As you all know, having survived this summer, it was crazy, crazy, crazy intense. Before summer officially began, we were in a whirlwind, a vortex of energy that caught us up, spun us around, shook out much more of what we needed to let go of, and only rarely allowed us to touch down and catch our breath. A nanosecond of peace here and there was about all we got, and then, whoosh, back up into the vortex. We were all like Dorothy, caught up in a tornado with Toto, and let me tell you, we are definitely not in Kansas anymore.

So much has changed in the past few months that it feels more than a bit disorienting.

It was a mixture of misery and bliss. Even the bliss often felt intense though, not so much gentle and peaceful. We could be feeling great one moment and in the dumps the next. Some moments it was all mixed together in that while we were feeling much pain, there was an awareness of something of beauty unfolding within this pain. And when we were uplifted, we had the simultaneous sense of all that we had gone through to get to that place.

This is all a product of what the Hathors, as channeled by Tom Kenyon, refer to as the Chaotic Nodes. There are times when I write about specific events that are occurring which are impacting us. They may be the massive solar flares, geomagnetic storms, earthquakes, extreme weather, planetary alignments, eclipses, and the like. There are also portals we are passing through, and star gates which are opening, Just very recently, for example, we had a week of X-Class solar flares, followed by nearly a week of geomagnetic storms in our atmosphere (as a result of the flares). We have had a multitude of earthquakes (these are often activated by the geomagnetic storms), and more of the wild, disturbing weather. All of this occurred while two major star gates were opening, and according to Meg Blacburn Lohse, this is all interrelated.

In fact, everything is of course interrelated. It's impossible to tease out a thread of where this begins, or what specifically is making us feel like wind-up toys that are overwound - they spin about wildly and then crash; they get wound up again, spin about wildly and then crash again.

The energetic upgrading of planet earth is happening not from one simple direction. It is being activated on a multidimensional level - literally. The entire cosmos, and every dimension of it, is playing a part, because everything that happens in one part of the cosmos impacts every other aspect.

So, let's get personal. As in, how is this affecting you? Because, let's face it, bottom line is that's what we all really want to know.

Many are experiencing insomnia or sleep disturbances. If the entire planet could just get a good nights sleep once in a while it would probably solve half of our problems :) Anxiety/restlessness/tension - lots of this going around, even with peeps who are usually quite calm. Hot and cold - one moment your body feels like it's on fire, the next you are chilled. Flareups of health problems - some old and chronic, some brand new. Relationship issues coming to a head. People behaving badly. Sometimes really badly. Many feeling despair. Or, simply feeling spacey, ungrounded, brain fogged.

Whatever lessons you had chosen to learn in this life, you have most likely been given ample opportunity these last few months to master that lesson. Pay attention. What is coming up? What gift does it have to give you?

Other times there isn't necessarily a lesson to be learned, simply discomfort to be endured as a result of all the chaotic energy. Whatever your vulnerability may be, physically or emotionally, the energy is probably rubbing it the wrong way. For me, it's my gut. Never been a happy, contented part of my body, and it has been so very cranky this summer. For many, aches and pains abound from all the blasts of energy, especially during solar flares.

When a solar flare hits the earth's atmosphere, we initially become more compressed, more dense. Then there is a release of this compression, however, rather than returning to our initial energy field, we are now more expanded. Assuming we allow this to happen! Many on the planet are in resistance, so instead of expanding they get frightened, angry, deeply despondent , and more entrenched in egoic thinking and behavior. It's difficult at best not to go into judgment when you see this, especially when it is impacting you directly. So, I'm not going to tell you not to do that - it's simply unrealistic! However, try to temper your frustration with the knowledge that most are completely unaware of what is going on. They are fast asleep and naturally respond with great fear and resistance. As the song says, all we can do is "Stay Strong and Keep the Faith Alive."

On the plus side, I've been seeing many who are experiencing huge, almost miraculous breakthroughs in their lives. The end of a long-term unhealthy relationship, or a major health issue resolved. For some there has been a release from a heavy, toxic energy that seemed to be holding them down, keeping them stuck for many years. Or, a shift in awareness that gives a dramatically new perspective on life. Synchronicities flowing, insights abounding, new opportunities unfolding, new this and new that ... lots and lots of new beginnings.

In short, we have hit the white water rapids of this planetary Shift in consciousness. Surrender to it as best you can. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as it flashes by. Find your sense of humor when you are going over the falls, screaming in terror or delight. It's all crazy. It's all ultimately good. We signed up for this ride, so we might as well get the most out of it.

And don't forget to put on your life jacket.

9/11 and the Planetary Shift in Consciousness

9/11/11 adds up to the number 13. Interesting. Thirteen represents 12 around One. Twelve planets around the sun; twelve disciples around Christ; twelve knights around King Arthur (see more examples here) - 13 is a number with major symbolic significance.

Much is being written about and spoken about the tenth anniversary of 9/11. I have hesitated adding anything to the brew, because honestly, what more needs to be said? I could share with you my personal memories of that day, as I live near NYC and the event certainly had a dramatic impact on me. Or I could muse about the debacle of war and destruction that ensued in my country's response to 9/11. The unifying aspect of that day lasted for about 3 minutes and then all hell seemed to break lose as we descended deep into dualistic thinking, wrapping ourselves in fear, separating ourselves from one another.

Think of the twin towers. See them in your mind's eye: two ones: 1 1. Was this mere coincidence, with no deeper meeting? I think not.

In this blog I have written about the meaning of 11:11: this has been emblazoned in our consciousness for years now.

I have written of how these numbers symbolize a gateway, a portal into Oneness. And how Oneness has within it the most primary, the most healthy and healing duality: individuality within an awareness of our essential connection with all in the Cosmos. Not just our connection with each other, but also our connection with All That Is. We do not lose our core essence when we recognize and acknowledge this connection. The two exist together, complementing one another, as in the yin/yang symbol of light and dark.

When the towers came down, much dark energy was released. It was the beginning of a decade in which the poisonous aspects of duality were once again brought to the surface for all to see. Certainly this had happened many times before in history. We have had many periods of war and turmoil on this planet. Yet this time, something was different.

This time there was a legion of earth angels - you, me, and hundreds and thousands of others - who came here for the purpose of clearing out this toxic energy so that earth could ascend to a higher state of consciousness. We came here playing many different roles. Some took on the hardest, most brutal, and thankless work. To them we owe our deepest respect and appreciation. Some chose to live a quiet life on the surface yet on a soul level they were doing the work of warriors, clearing and cleansing and transmutting the dark energy; building the etheric grids of light that were needed in order for this planetary Shift to take place. Others lived much more publicly, often in leadership roles.

And within these legions there were individuals who served as catalysts. They embodied the darkness and forced us to be clear in our choice to live within the light.

Thus such a choice was given to us on that day, that gloriously beautiful September day ten years ago. Within the past decade we have explored every aspect of darkness ever created by the human mind. Included in this long list is the darkness of apathy, indifference, and the belief that as long as I am not experiencing something, then it is not real. And that "something" may involve suffering in all it's forms: illness, impoverishment, abuse, addiction, separation. How often do lightworkers convince themselves that since on a soul level people supposedly chose a particular form of suffering, then we don't have to feel any concern or empathy for those who have been hit hard? Not so.

Many have been hit hard, often to get the message of connection. Many who led relatively easy, comfortable lives have been challenged greatly. This was part of their awakening; this was a trigger that their Higher Self activated at some point in the process. And while yes, choice was involved, still we owe one another deep compassion. We need to find the depth of empathy as we see others going through a dark night of the soul.

Here we are ten years later. All this darkness was brought to the surface so that we could see it and begin to recognize it for what it is. So that we might begin to resist the impulse to turn our heads away, to cover our ears and our eyes. No, we were made to look and to see. Falling back asleep is not an option.

Only when we really and truly began to see, and hear, could we then begin to choose wisely. Only then in our wise choices could we transmute all that does not serve us. Only then could we begin to walk through the passageway of those two pillars, the portal to Oneness.

BTW, we are in the midst of a massive X Class Solar Flare. Actually, it's two flares. But who's counting :) I'm only mentioning it because I am really feeling it today, and if you are too, then this info might help. If you are feeling ungrounded, lightheaded, brain fogged, wound up and sleepy at the same time, this may be why. Typically after a large solar flare we have a geomagnetic storm here on earth when the impact of the flare reaches our atmosphere. More fun.

Have You Got Power? Are You Connected?

These questions were asked repeatedly this past week in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

Seven days and seven nights. And then there was light. Plus water, a/c, my washer/dryer, stove top, oven, and today even internet! And now I am ready for my life to be recreated after being shut down for exactly one week. Seven is a number that repeatedly shows up in my life on a daily basis, so it's no surprise that it took seven days for my home to get reconnected to the electrical grid. I could say I was without power for 7 days, but as my wise friend Brenda pointed out, we are never without power, even when the lights go out :) Thanks Brenda for reminding me of that. All week I avoided saying "I'm without power." Electricity, no; power, yes.

I was also without wheels for a few days there, as my car broke down the day before Hurricane Irene hit. The roads were so bad after the storm, with trees down everywhere, and electrical wires tangled in their branches, that driving wasn't such a great idea anyway.

Essentially, I was taken "offline." This happens to us as we go through our own personal Shift, our own personal metamorphosis, although it is not always so literal. Often it means something happens that shuts us down for a time - an illness, injury, loss of job, or simply a need to withdraw from the world and hibernate. It is all a necessary part of the process and resistance is futile when it happens. Being taken away from "normal" life often involves significant inner shifts which need time to incubate and germinate. We may feel as though nothing is happening, that we are wasting time, not accomplishing anything and frustration can blossom into self pity.

But if you are on this evolutionary path and you hit one of these enforced down times, know it serves a purpose vastly beyond anything you can quantify by any concrete measurement. I've noticed several other Shift commentators musing on how they have spent the last 12 years in a virtual rocking chair, aging but not fully living. For those of us who got "activated" back in 1999 (a BIG year for consciousness activation), it has been a long haul. For myself, I am doing much less rocking and much more living and I know that this will continue to expand. So when I get pulled off line for a time, I take it in stride and know it is only very temporary.

Now for the bigger picture.

The storm that swept through the part of the world I live in was of course just a part of the whole earth cleansing process. There is a dramatic increase in these events at the moment, and this will continue for some time. I've heard different estimates of when it will taper off, but for me, I take it one day at a time. I doubt if even Gaia knows when she will be done.

Have you noticed though that with all the earthquakes and storms of recent weeks, there has been remarkable little injury, or loss of life? This is quite astounding given the magnitude of some of these events. There have been major quakes in Argentina, Peru, the Aleutian Islands, Colorado, the U.S. east coast, and many other places, and yet very, very little damage from any of them. Hurricane Irene could have resulted in major loss of life and property damage/destruction. And while a number of people did lose their lives, and some areas did suffer significant flooding, when you look at how big this storm was it is mind blowing that we got off so lightly.

In my own town we saw trees toppled like matchsticks and they almost always fell into the road, or into the woods, rarely onto a house. There was very, very little property damage and not a single death. And our town got hit pretty hard.

What's happening here? How can this be? Were we just lucky?

What's happening is that there is a critical mass of those of us who are awake and aware of the earth changes. Our heightened consciousness allows us to experience our Oneness with the natural world and shift the course of the cleansing that needs to occur to rid the earth of all the toxic energy that has to be released.

The day of the storm, in the hours that preceded its onset, I was restless and though the sky was ominous, I went for a walk to the nature center near my home. I had noticed the eerie stillness - no traffic, no birds, no animal sounds. The air was quiet. Yet as I entered the sanctuary, I was struck by the difference. Here the birds, and squirrels were chirping away. There was a calm energy there. It felt like a serene oasis it has always been for me. I walked around to all my favorite spots and connected with the nature spirits, faeries, elementals. I was filled to the brim with gratitude for all they provide us in our daily lives.

Back in my own home, I asked the massive trees surrounding our house for protection.

We lost not a single tree. In fact not one tree came down along my whole road. And days later when I returned to the nature sanctuary I was struck by how there was no damage whatsoever there. None of the usual debris we saw everywhere. It was as pristine and beautiful as ever.

This is also potentially true for the revolutions that are taking place around the world. The countries where these uprisings are taking place are populated by people who are not "other" than us. They are our kin. Their hopes, striving, yearning for freedom, for peace, are in essence no different than our own. Let us connect our hearts with theirs, and enable the dramatic changes they are bringing about to be as smooth as possible. Not to be naive, these are extremely difficult transitions they are enacting, yet like a hurricane or an earthquake, the suffering that comes in their wake can be mitigated greatly if we all open our hearts and connect.

We all have power, whether we have electricity or internet connections. We are potentially powerful Creators. Use this power consciously, intentionally, deliberately connecting to your highest self, and take seriously your responsibility to create an En-lighten-ment on earth that is peaceful, joyful, strong, and filled with ease.

Brick by Brick - We Build a New Earth

The rain has begun, though not too bad just yet. Wind won't start for a few hours. Hurricane Irene is on her way, and we are in her direct path. I've been preparing as best I can, through various complications including my car breaking down. When we lose power, it may be out for a week or more. Such is life. Last week I was riding high, this week has been another story. It is all part of the unfolding of the Shift, and all we can do is surf the high waves and trust.

In the midst of all the preparations and some anxiety, I have been feeling awash in love. There is so much brilliantly light-filled energy pouring onto the planet, and the dense energy is dissipating. I'm still not one to believe that everything is going to magically change overnight. But brick by brick we are building a new earth.

We are still in the phase that is primarily focused on the destruction of all that does not serve the good, the true, and the beautiful. Anything not built on a solid foundation will be gradually replaced by that which is authentic and heart-centered. Most of us can already see this happening and it will become more apparent as we move forward.

Look to see the way this hurricane impacts the U.S. It may be significant. I'm neither a seer nor a psychic, so I do not say this with absolute certainty. It is simply a strong sense that I have. The earthquake we experienced up and down the east coast last week was a precursor to a major shift in energy. The hurricane will build upon this opening. Washington D.C. and NYC will both be impacted on a physical level, but more importantly, they will be impacted substantially on an energetic level. This could be a major game changer.

As of September 5th, a breathe of fresh air will be apparent, in the aftermath of some reordering. Let's see what that looks like - the shape it takes.

Planetary Energy Update: Late August

As the Hathors, via Tom Kenyon, explain in their latest channeled message, we are in the midst of what they call "multiple chaotic nodes". The term "chaotic" needs to be taken with a grain of salt though, as it is important to understand that all of what is happening is part of the process of our planetary Shift in Consciousness, and therefore it all ultimately has order and purpose. It just looks quite messy when you're in the thick of it.

Even with the earthquakes, Hurricane Irene, the revolts in Libya, Syria, and elsewhere, there is much that is happening that is uplifting and even joyous. So while the energy is extremely intense, you could be experiencing it as an amazing high at times, though you may also be struggling as well. Peaks and valleys. Not much in the way of calm waters these days.

Many are experiencing physical and emotional symptoms as a result of the intense energy, particularly those of us who are highly sensitive to energy. And the symptoms are all over the place, varying with each person. Some are feeling it primarily in their G.I. track - not surprising giving the high number of earthquakes. Earth energy impacts the lower three chakras the most. Bladder issues as well. Lower back.

Or, you may be having heart palpitations, fatigue, sinus headaches, jaw pain (TMJ). These symptoms come more from the atmospheric changes due to solar flares, geomagnetic craziness, and the like. Emotions too can be in play, with the full range heightened. See what I mean? It's all over the place. If what you are feeling is quite unusual for you, certainly consider getting it checked out. Personally I mostly use holistic health providers, as I find their work is much more suited to the way our body is being impacted by the changes.There are times though when conventional medicine is most appropriate.

And remember that what we are experiencing physically and emotionally has many causes. As mentioned above, it can be from earth changes, from solar winds/flares, geomagnetic influences. It may be from all the energy that is released during earthquakes, and all the cleansing that is happening during dramatic weather events. It is also because we are being reorganized/rewired physically. Upgraded, if you will. This is good, of course, but the process doesn't always feel great. As more and more dense, toxic energy is released, our body (and Gaia as well - as we are all One) is then able to function as it was originally designed. In other words, our inner healer can work without interference. When we get out of balance, all the natural processes designed to bring us back into balance are then able to function fully. Gradually, we will need less and less intervention and external help to do this.

And speaking of help, a particularly wonderful upside to all that is going on is this: with the increased clearing out of dense energy, we are able to connect more readily with guidance from the other dimensions. This may include ascended masters, archangels, angels, spirit guides, animal spirits, or nature spirits. Light Beings from dimensions that have not been able to reach earth before are now arriving here to assist in the Shift.

Going back to the Hathor's message, I wholeheartedly agree with their recommendation to focus on appreciation and gratitude. See their message for two techniques - one basic, and one advanced. These tools are deceptively simple but as powerful as the energy we are dealing with. They allow us to take in the energy flowing through us and work with it productively, rather than feeling overwhelmed by it.

Take heart! Literally :) This is a time to be as heart-centered as you can.

Death and Rebirth: A Parable

Chaos leads to order. Destruction leads to construction. Crisis pushes us into creative problem solving. Death and birth are always occurring, in every single moment. Each is enfolded within the other. There is no separation. The seed of destruction is within each new creation. The promise of birth is inherent in each death. Remember this when you look at the world around you. Remind yourself of this when you see what is happening in your own life.

What is ending in your life? Are you focused on the ending, or are you also able to see beyond to the new beginning? Witness all that is falling apart in the world and be aware of the opportunities that present themselves as a result.

A story of death and birth:

A woman is pregnant with her first child. She is at the bedside of her mother who is dying. The mother motions her to lean close, and pointing to her daughter's belly, she whispers: "I wish I could be there when the baby is born." The daughter nods, assuring her mother that she will be there in spirit.

The mother dies shortly thereafter. Six months go by and in the fullness of new life, the daughter gives birth, days early, to her child, a son. The child is born, never to know his grandmother. Except, is this true? There is a message, an echo from the deathbed scene in the birthing room: the child is born on his grandmother's birth-day.

I lost my mother and gave birth: the out-breath followed by the in-breath. Life is always enfolded in death, and death within life. Cells die, and new ones take their place. A relationship, job, way of life, belief, behavior ends, and we are given a chance to reinvent our lives. We can put much effort into mourning what we have lost, and trying to recreate what we once had. Or we can move on, and be the creators we were born to be.

A Day Filled With Beauty

Thanks to all of you who helped me in visualizing my son's wedding ceremony. It worked! There was magic in the three days of celebration.

The weather cooperated for the outdoor ceremony in a lovely garden overlooking Long Island Sound. A butterfly flew around the flower-adorned arbor the couple stood under during the ceremony. Soon after we went inside for the reception, it began to rain. Then it poured. The lightening bolts were framed by the large glass windows. It was dramatic and beautiful.

The joy and love that pervaded the occasion felt like a celestial blessing. All summer I have worked on a multi-dimension level to pave the way energetically for this day. The archangels, ascended masters, and angels made their presence known. I am deeply grateful to my dear friends who helped with this calling in of divine light, and to all of you who joined in. The bride, her mother and sister, all worked hard on the material plane to create a day filled with beauty.

The four elements were all in play - the outdoor setting provided this. We stood on the earth; we overlooked the water - and water also came into play with the rain; we breathed in the fresh air and witnessed the wind during the storm; and fire came with the candles that were lit in memory of loved ones departed, as well as with the lightening.

The nature spirits wove their spell - quite literally. During the reception, several of my healer/shaman friends noticed this in the window directly behind my son's chair:

A huge spider weaving a magnificent web. The symbolism of this is quite extraordinary. If you have Ted Andrew's book Animal Speak, look it up and you will see what I mean.

May the tidal wave of love created during this event travel far and wide, enveloping each of you reading this in an embrace.

I love the fact that my post was emailed out to my subscribers yesterday at 4:44 p.m. EDT. Here's what Gillian MacBeth-Louthan says about multiple 4's:

A foundation of light is being cemented for you. New opportunity comes without being asked. Build your future thought by thought, brick by brick. Do not allow those of too much wind to blow down your dreams with their negativity. Believe deeply until you see the proof. Hold on through all choices and changes. Stay balanced in what you know to be divine truth and the platform of light will solidify.

This speaks to me at this moment in my life. As we approach the 25th anniversary of the Harmonic Convergence - when some feel the Shift in Consciousness began in full - light is flooding the planet which is serving as a foundation for our dreams to materialize.

However, we need to wholeheartedly commit to creating. Manifestation will only happen with our full participation. No sitting on the sidelines, no whimping out with "I cant' do that; I'm afraid; I don't like change; I don't like uncertainty." Get over it. That's your ego talking and we need your core essence to come to the fore, overwhelming these "little me" thoughts. Just do it.

All the celestial support in the cosmos isn't going to make a difference if you don't simply decide to do what you need to do. This is not about you, this is about serving the greatest cause of all: the elevation of the entire planet's vibration. Because whatever you do moment to moment in your life - no matter how small you think your life is - matters. What happens on the micro level pulses out to the macro level. No action is insignificant. The cosmos responds to all. That is the way things work.

Are you living your life with integrity, with passion, in alignment with the what you sense to be the highest good? Or are you acting from a place of fear, insecurity and contraction. Time to stop blaming others for your inability to move forward. Take responsibility and act. Allow yourself to expand into the fullness of your Being. Your I AM presence is, in essence, your soul, and we are here at this moment in the history of consciousness to remove the separation between our soul and our human be-ing. Be the change.

Re-Booting

I love it when I read someone else expresses just exactly what I am experiencing. This latest post from Meredith Murphy does just this. I couldn't have said it better myself! Let me know if this reflects your own experience of the moment. This week there has been a huge shift of energy.

"The last few days those are the words that feel right to me in my experience. I'm feeling this huge surge within me to Re-Boot myself and reflecting and meditating to understand what this is about and attuning myself for inspiration as to what this means in terms of my life.

My feeling is: we're re-booting our entire existence right now!

The wonderful gift of the solar flares is if we welcome them with appreciation and know how, we may use these energies to build our KA body/our etheric body and it is this body which we are increasingly awakening too, for it is our eternal being as present here and now with us, interpenetrating us. Our ascension vehicle!

The energy this month is about nourishing, clearing, and transforming...like so much of our experience has been lately. But even deeper than that, it feels to me that we are in a specific conversion energetically: as if there is a vast re-booting of our whole biosphere taking place right now

Similar to when we re-boot our phone or computer--while it's happening, not much else can be accomplished. You may feel this in waves or cycles. For some it seems more sustained and like a long period of integration, clearing, void, repeat. Many are feeling very tired. Easily irritated. Unusually emotional, or emotions obviously out of scale with what is happening. Some people are finding they have to withdraw and just be by themselves in nature. I have received emails from people telling me they can't get re-connected with what is their "normal" temperament."

I encourage you to find that still point within you and attune to your own guidance for what will give you peace and clarity as often as you need it. The world is experiencing some major shock-waves of change and our peaceful harmonious dwelling within is a great gift and stabilizer, as well as important for our own well being.

I noticed when I received the message The 5th World Prophecy is Fulfilled that it was interesting that many of us resonated with this. And equally interesting that so much of the world went by seemingly unable to sense this shift. I feel now we are seeing the beginning implications of this in world affairs and in the energy progression of the planet.

If you remember, in the August Energy Update, Getting a 2nd Wind - Grounding to Create Change we were invited to realize we're at the beginning of the process of creating now our peaceful planet. It's very important that we each learn how to ground ourselves in big energy, how to care for our beautiful bodies, how to tune into our own guidance and how to continually return to the embodiment of our ideals energetically: peace, love, oneness, harmony...

We are all connected to the planet and one with the Earth. We are all flowing the life source energy we receive--all of us--from the Great Central Sun. The Fires of August

August has started off like a lion, roaring in with a blast of solar flares and a geomagnetic storm. So much is happening in our personal lives and on the world stage that all we can do is surrender and trust. There is a great contrast in what is occurring - powerfully uplifting transformations as well as devastating struggles and losses. The fire element, the energy of the goddess Kali, is very much at play. The Great Wheel of Life is spinning faster and faster. Shiva holds steady within.

The word "intense" barely scratches the surface of the energy we are in at this time of The Shift. We are approaching the end of the Mayan calendar on October 28th, after which a new era begins. And so this is a time when huge amounts of darkness are being pushed to the surface by the light that is flooding the planet. While it is often painful for many, it is unfortunately the path from here to there. From the old energy of imbalance to the new earth energy where things actually begin to work in ways that make sense, in ways that represent the cosmic balance of yin/yang.

At this moment, we have legions of support from the celestial realms, from beings of pure radiant light. Some of them have begun to incarnate here. Others are moving in closer and closer so that we can more readily feel their presence and be comforted. In the past it was much more difficult for this to happen. The energy surrounding earth was so dense that try as they did, the ascended masters and archangels could only reach us intermittently if at all. We sometimes went for years with no clear contact. We may have felt like a lost soul wandering the desert. And indeed we were.

What has changed and why? Those in the vanguard of The Shift spent many years clearing out massive amounts of dense, dark, imbalanced energy. They did it not only within themselves, not only for their own family line, or soul group, they were also doing it on a global level. Those who started on this work long ago will never be recognized or applauded for what they did, at least not by other humans. They did it not for gratitude or recognition but because it was what they came here to do.

Those of us who took on this role spent endless years working hard and not knowing what the hell we were working hard at. Like almost everyone else, we were largely clueless. We were doing this exhausting work without a job description, little alone pay. Then slowly, we began to understand. We found people like Karen Bishop who were writing about what was happening, and what us wayshowers were doing. "Aha" moments abounded. Suddenly much about our crazy quilt lives began to make sense.

And so here we are at this critical juncture, this crossroads of epic proportions.

Right now we are seeing much in the way of health challenges, deaths, fear and anxiety, economic brinksmanship, more job losses. . And yet ... we are also seeing shifts occurring in unexpected and delightful ways. Someone whose heart has been shut down begins to soften. Another who has struggled with a major difficulty seeing this at long last dissipating and a new life emerging. A dictator on trial for his crimes. A corrupt, grossly immoral media mogul being exposed and losing his much of his power.

Around the globe, people are shouting "no more ... no more." These shouts are heard in homes where unhappiness has resided for many years, and on the streets in countries where the people had nearly forgotten the ability to hope and dream of freedom. I am waiting to see it happen in my own country, here in the U.S. where disgust and disillusionment with the status quo abound in equal proportion to complacency. Extreme arrogance, ineptitude and worn out values are still very much in place.

The Shift is not an illusion concocted by a bunch of airy-fairy new agers. It is real and it is serious and it is happening. Not in 2012. Not on some magical date. It is happening right now. It is a process not a one-time event. It will take many, many years to complete. However, what we are living through right now is the hardest part. And we will get to a place where grace and ease will be words we can once again use freely in describing our lives. Some have already come to this place. Others are despairing of ever reaching it. In one way or another, through an infinite variety of paths, we will all get there. Some sooner, some later. But we will all get there. Trust. Surrender.

Awakening Symptoms

There are many excellent lists of symptoms you may experience while awakening your consciousness. Most call them "Ascension Symptoms," but if you've read me for any length of time, you know I don't care for the word "ascension." Has too many strange religious connotations. Really what it refers to is not sprouting wings and floating up to heaven, it's about expanding your consciousness and awakening.

Awakening to the ever expanding evolution of the cosmos, of God, of ourselves. Awakening to an awareness of the interconnection of All That Is. Awakening to the awareness of your I AM presence. Awakening to the understanding that the way we are in the world has a moment-to moment impact on everything in the universe. Awakening to the mystery and wonder of life.

Not only are you awakening personally, the planet is going through its own awakening. It's all the same really. Anyway, going through this, whether you are Gaia, or Linda Lubin, can cause all kinds of weird symptoms. Gaia has her earthquakes, droughts, floods, fires, volcanoes, tsunamis, and wild weather. We mortals on the other hand have a much longer list of potential "stuff" going on.

Ascension Symptoms

"Some of these ascension symptoms are ones I’ve lived with for many years now and have gotten familiar with how they cycle in and out, year after year, becoming less intense the more I transmuted and released. As I’ve said elsewhere over the past few years, your mileage may vary, because we each are dealing with and transmuting slightly different emotional energies, karmic/polarized energies, past life energies, and varying degrees of lower negative vibrating energies across time on earth. Some of us have been processing not only our own stuff and junk from this life, but ALL of them, and also doing transformational bloodline family work, and also planetary clearing of specific lower stuck (dark or negative) energies done by people across time on this planet. That is what “Lightworkers” do, and more."

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS

ascension flu— flu-like body aches and pains but you don’t get “sick” like with typical physical flu
abnormal heat and/or cold in certain body parts, severe heat in bottoms of feet, cold solar plexus etc
hot flashes/kundalini risings repeatedly for both sexes
unusual headaches that just don’t go away until they are done doing what they’re doing
physical vision changes – blurring, seeing non-physical mist or fog , seeing new colors, lights, heat mirages, warps, vortex swirls
physical hearing changes – inner ear clicking, pressure like when you change altitude, hearing non-physical voices and strange sounds
low-grade fever, chills, body and bone pains, aches and exhaustion when there’s heavy solar and/or cosmic energies
sudden food and chemical sensitivities that make it nearly impossible to eat a lot of foods or go much of anywhere
insomnia and/or only being able to sleep for an hour or two and then waking up repeatedly throughout the night
drastically less dreaming (because you’re dealing with issues/energies 24/7/365 We’re transmuting while awake too)
sudden diarrhea (usually after you’ve been through a hard phase of transmuting lower energies and then shifting into a higher state)
sudden nausea or “morning sickness” for both sexes
weird food cravings, repeated high protein cravings (due to increased transmuting of energies), need for a lot of food fuel
severely increased sense of smell, smelling strange smells for days, weeks or months even (like burning incense or smoke)
sense that your bones are not as dense and solid as they were in lower 3D, they now feel more like cartilage that can bend etc.
profound exhaustion, feeling profound exhaustion and physical pains and aches after having been out in the lower world for a couple of hours, feel better once you return to your higher vibrating home/land/space etc.
internal electrical-like vibrations or buzzing of the “rewiring” process
super sensitivity to sounds, light, sunlight, even movement, dizziness, sense of spinning or tipping over or dropping through the floor

EMOTIONAL SYMPTOMS

crying over simple things that profoundly move you, crying over the stupidity, crying because you feel SO much (this is 5D Heart Consciousness beginning)
rage and deep anger over the stupidity, anger/rage/frustration over everything and everyone still in a lower energy and state of awareness. They’re literally too painful physically and emotionally to be around or to endure now
sudden and total intolerance of anything, anyone, any system, religion, government, foods, belief systems etc. Intolerance of anything vibrating lower than you currently are.
sense of being very alone and on your own with no one else around you who understands what’s really happening to reality and you
needing to be alone and isolated from other people
ultra sensitive emotionally – like puberty/pregnancy/menopause all happening at the same time!
emotionally knowing and feeling things in other people that you never could perceive prior
family issues and “stuff” that must be dealt with within yourself and your bodies
total emotional disconnect with things and people you used to love and enjoy very much
feeling like you are changing so profoundly that you’re actually dying (you are and it’s part of this process)

MENTAL SYMPTOMS

sudden loss of mental focus and ability to concentrate
sudden inability to read books due to inability to focus, concentrate, or even comprehend what you’re trying to read!
forgetting the names of common everyday things, objects, places, people etc. – like “milk”, “hammer”, “orange”, etc.
forgetting your own name and/or sense of old familiar “you” or “self”
having to triple check things because you can’t remember if you actually did them or just thought about doing it
loosing track of “time”, loosing track of yourself withing “time”, suddenly not knowing what time of the year it is or even what year it is!
thinking and physically doing things become very blurred to your awareness, feeling disconnected from things like never before
disconnect with the ego self that was mentally multitasking constantly, inability to focus and so you relax and unfocus finally

PSYCHIC SYMPTOMS

seeing, hearing, feeling, sensing nonphysical beings both positive and negative, perceiving strange unknown energies and lights
hearing nonphysical voices call your name
seeing different colored lights, balls, points of brilliant light, flash and roll around in your house and/or outside also
seeing solid 3D objects (like walls etc) suddenly look like a heat mirage, sparkle, shimmer with brilliant light and appear transparent
seeing, hearing, and even telepathy with both “positive” and “negative” beings, entities, perceiving areas of condensed negative energy
negative psychic attacks by other lower vibrating living humans, and/or negative non-physical energies, beings etc. (deal with it and move on. It’s someones unresolved negative shit looking for a new place to live; transmute it and release it all and move on)
working through polarity resolution, repeated encounters with polarized energies, polarized consciousness, etc.
seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, sensing higher positive non-physical beings, guides, ETs, Angelics, other Lightworkers, other New Earth Angels, etc.
increasing conscious connection and awareness with your Higher Self – spherical or “triality consciousness” instead of the old 3D polarized and linear consciousness
increasing but HIGHER empathy, telepathy, clairvoyance, greater and greater unity within your self and with other people that are vibrating at or near the same frequency and state of ascension that you are, 5D awareness or Heart consciousness
coming under negative psychic attacks occasionally from both human and nonhuman energies, thankfully decreasing in potency over the months and years
stages of dreamless sleeping, stages of numerous unpleasant nightmares each night for weeks at a time. This usually happens when we’re making yet another shift and need to process some more stuff and energies within ourselves.

In the Throes of Activation

You can interpret this quote literally or metaphorically, however it does seem that our awakening has it's own timetable. Rushing it doesn't work, and likewise trying to put the brakes on it causes much friction and inner tension. I try to remember this not only with my own journey, but also in not judging others. I have often been extremely impatient in this regard, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Or at least I'm trying :)

Ending Karmic Relationships: The Eagle and the Mouse

I see lots of hands up :)

I've written about this many times, as it is a theme for most all of us who are on a path of awakening. And of course it is also true for most who are not on this path, the only difference being that they do not realize why it is happening.

It has taken me years of unpacking the layers of meaning in all of this letting go, and I want now to share with you a particularly important layer that may help you to reframe what you are going through as you shed, and shed, and shed so much in your life.

This layer of meaning primarily has to do with relationships. In choosing to incarnate at this time of planetary awakening, many of us chose to move onto the path of spiritual mastery. We know we may not achieve it in this lifetime, but we also know that the energy on the planet at this time will give us the opportunity to take a quantum leap forward.

One of the main ways of moving onto this path and staying on it involves releasing karmic contracts. Before we came into this life we made contracts with many individuals with whom we have had past lives. Often these are individuals who we have been with scores, even hundreds of times. The karma between us keeps magnetizing us back together to repeat the same cycles of drama in lifetime after lifetime. This time however, we knew we'd be given the opportunity to wake up, and to see the karma for what it is, and to then release ourselves from it.

In order to move forward on the path of spiritual mastery, we know that we must let go. All cords and contracts must be dissolved. Therefore you may find one or more core relationships are now ending (or have ended in the last three years), or you many have many relationships that are coming to a close. Some end naturally and organically with little fuss - someone just gracefully exits from your life with no drama on either side. And others end with great pain, grief, and sometimes acrimony. Either way it's getting you where you need to go. While no one likes to suffer, most of us do find that some of these endings involve a great deal of suffering.

I want to make clear that this does not mean we are ending all contact with others, or all relationships in general. It is the ending of those karmically based relationships where this is playing out. Eventually we find that people who we do not have this history with will begin to move into our lives and our relationships with them will have a very different tone. We are still human, so these relationships won't be perfect or idealistic. However they can be much cleaner and less fraught than the ones we are leaving.

What I am saying here applies to all kinds of relationships: marriages and partnerships, yes, but also siblings, parents, children, friends, neighbors, coworkers, even the person who cuts your hair!

When we have been together with an individual from lifetime through lifetime, we find it hard to let go. Sometimes what happens is this: we contract to come together, things go very well for a time, and then they go badly. When this happens, it may be that we have contracted with this person to have them behave in a way that coaxes us to move out of their orbit.

Depending on the nature of the relationship, things may then eventually shift so that you can comfortably - and even lovingly - remain connected to this person, though you no longer need them. You feel released from the relationship, because you have dissolved the karma. Other times this will not be possible and you will need to let go completely.

I have seen this played out in my own life over and over and over. It has been playing out yet again with one person who I have had endless lifetimes with. I wouldn't be surprised if I've had more lifetimes with this one person than anyone else. [Oh no! Now everyone reading this who knows me personally will be wondering ... "is she talking about me?? Will the real karma dude or dudette please stand up:)] Yet as I pull myself up to the "eagle eye perspective" I can see the landscape on which this "drama" is unfolding and it all makes sense in a way that it doesn't at all if I'm just the mouse on the ground.

If you try doing the same, you may find yourself having an easier time of it. Imagine the drama unfolding on the stage of an amphitheater. You are near the stage, totally immersed in the acting. You get up and move further back, and begin to feel a little bit of detachment. You keep moving back until you get to the back row where the people around you are more engrossed in their snack food than in the play. You see it's just a play, not real at all. However, if you still feel a tightness in your chest, then see yourself rising up and up into the sky until you are floating over the scene. Now you get it. Now you see the stage, and the actors, and the props, the lighting, the makeup. You see what's going on backstage. The drama now becomes merely entertaining or at least interesting. But it doesn't trap you into it's energy. You are free now. You can fly, soar, and float. Spread your wings. Become the eagle.

Planetary Energy Update: Endings & Beginnings

I have written at least four emails this weekend to friends and clients who are going through huge transitions in their lives. While these transitions have been brewing for a long time, July seems to be the pivotal point for them. They take the form of core relationships ending, plans to move gelling, an old way of living shifting in a big way, or the ending of a life. For some it is a waking up out of a deep sleep and suddenly perceiving life from a dramatically different perspective.

Whatever the form it takes, July is a time of endings. And this is often painful - sometimes gut wrenching. The grief of the letting go can feel searing, or it may simply envelop us like a soft but steady rain, cleansing and purifying.

Even through the pain, as we come up for air we feel the freshness of the air filling our lungs, and we see clearly the shoreline we are swimming towards. It is very close, and no longer a mirage. We hear the sounds, and see the colors of this new life we are going to be residing in very soon. With every stroke we move closer and closer, though our arms ache and our chest hurts.

We know that when we reach the shore our journey will not end. This is not nirvana we are landing upon, and it will take much energy, effort, imagination, passion, and resourcefulness to create a home for ourselves in this new land. However, if we let go, unfurl our clenched fist, allow the ending to take place in a natural way, then all of these resources will gradually become available to us.

If you are one of many who are suffering, who are in pain during this transitional time, then know you will get through it, know that it is taking you where you need to go, know that the courage you show in this time of endings will be rewarded when you step into the time of your new beginning.

Years ago I had a dream in which my husband and I were driving to a new home. It was cloudy and raining off and on. We weren't sure exactly where we were going. Pulling onto a side street we realized we were close but not there yet. So we came back down the hill onto the main road and continued on to the next street. For some reason, my husband drove up that hill backwards. And we came to an arched gateway that had the words "New Community" on it. You have arrived at your destination!

And so it is with our journey into our new lives. We stumble along, take a wrong turn, move backwards at times, and yet if we persist, we do finally reach our destination.

Every parent knows the chorus from the back seat: "are we there yet??" Soon, soon.

To go from doing to being involves a death and a new beginning. To cross over from one state to the other requires a bridge.

The ordinary person has no point of reference for being — it makes no sense to them. This is why a transition is necessary, involving the death of who we have imagined ourselves to be, which is scary for a “doer” because it means giving up thinking we know what we need and want. Instead we open ourselves up to receive what we require at any given moment of our journey.

Don’t imagine for a moment that present moment awareness involves people just being “still” and “one.” Being is a state of aliveness in which we are responsive to what’s required in each moment of our experience.

Far from an inactive or passive approach to life, being is a vibrantly alive state because life is full of momentum. But what we need to realize is that there are two kinds of momentum.

Doing has a momentum of sorts. The problem is that because it’s driven by anxiety rooted in fearfulness, it manifests as a need to manipulate the situations, events, and people who come into our lives.

There’s a different kind of momentum that’s an expression of being. This momentum is characterized by a conscious aliveness.

There’s a world of difference between manipulating our emotions to force ourselves to feel what we think we should be feeling, and truly feeling our authentic being. The consequence is that we tend to invalidate our actual experience by imagining it should be other than it is.

Can we receive our experience as valid, as it unfolds? Or do we think something else ought to be happening? The moment we don’t accept our experience as the truth, we’ve strayed from the straight and narrow.

This was the great insight of the Buddha, who tried for six years to manipulate his experience, until he finally surrendered to simply being. He became present in his experience exactly as it presented (present-ed) itself.

To enter into life by what Jesus called the “narrow gate” and the “straight way” — the straight and narrow — is to embrace our experience as valid and to see what’s happening as required.

In stating “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” Jesus was validating his experience. Our authentic experience is the narrow way, the true way that leads to the fullness of life. No one enters into a present moment experience of our Source in any other way than the way Jesus did.

All doing originates in the manipulation of our true feelings to align with how we think our lives should be. To die to our mental concept of ourselves and all the doing we engage in to try to live up to our expectation of how things should turn out, and instead cross the bridge into being, is the only way to the fulfillment for which we have always longed.

Especially in these perilous times, being is also the only truly comfortable, safe way to live.

These are tumultuous times. Most of us are having many days when we need more than ever to connect with the divinity within, to know we are whole and holy, an expression of God. Within us we have All That Is. Tolle speaks to this and much more. You can find his column here. What he says may not be new to you, but it is my belief that we need to be reminded of the essential truths often. At least I do :)

I just finished listening to Jim Self interviewing Barbara Hand Clow on The Awakening Zone. If you are not familiar with either Jim or Barbara, or their work, all I can say is that these are two of the most knowledgeable, intelligent, and heart-centered individuals communicating vital information about The Shift. You can access their interview on The Awakening Zone. They covered so much material that I cannot do it justice in giving you a synopsis. Instead, please do take the time to listen.

I also listened to the second of an eight-week free series of webinars by Jim Self, offering tools for helping you stay afloat during these intense times. We all need some help, right??!! I found the program to be very useful and plan to start using the tools every day. You can find information on this at Jim's website: Mastering Alchemy. If you sign up (remember, they are free) you will be able to access recordings of previous sessions. No need to listen live. You can also find the interview with Barbara on the home page of this site as well.

Enjoy! There is much we can do to process all that is happening, and a wealth of free information out there. Do all that you can to stay grounded, self-aware, and allow whatever is happening to just flow through you without letting the energy get stuck. Easier said than done, I know, but it is absolutely critical that we do the best we can in this time of transition. All hands on deck - we need you to be present.

We Are The Ones

We made it through the craziness of June,with the triple punch of eclipses and the solstice. Now with this current full moon we are integrating all that came to the surface during our transit through that wormhole. This past week has been one of those times when you may have wondered once again if you were out of your mind deciding to incarnate at this time. Or, you may have had an over-the-moon wonderful week and felt a joy rising up in you that you never expected to feel again.

In other words, it was an insanely intense week to put it mildly. Huge surges of emotion have been ruling our lives since early June, and after this full moon we will get to feel a bit of calm and equilibrium. We need it after all we've been through. You may be feeling wrung out, achy, and frazzled. This too shall pass.

Why the intense energy? Having cleared out huge amounts of toxic energy, we are being flooded with the high vibbration of LOVE. Enough clearing had been accomplished by some very hard working souls, that this love vibration could now make its way onto the planet, with far less interference than before. However, this level of LOVE pushes darkness to the surface in order to transmute it. The energy of the past 6 weeks, with the emotion of the moon and the fiery intensity of the sun, made this possible. Part of the plan, you could say.

This is the moment to be clear as to how you want to proceed with your life. Have the courage of your convictions, be focused, committed, and disciplined in doing what needs to be done. Be clear of your role in moving this Shift forward, and do not doubt that the role you play is critical. No master how small you think your life is, know that your influence is vast. The real power brokers of the Shift are you and me. Quietly working behind the scenes we are creators. It is not the stars of stage and screen, the politicians, those with fame or fortune who are changing the world. It is us.

Change your consciousness and you change the cosmos.

11:11, 2011, Duality and Oneness

July 4th in the States is our Independence Day. The number 4 represents solidity, depth, foundation, endurance. These are the qualities that are needed for Independence to be activated. If we are in an idealist mode, our head in the clouds with lofty ideas, we cannot achieve independence.

In January I wrote about the meaning of 1/11/11, and the year 2011 in general. In that post I had you visualize the number 11 as two Grecian columns, serving as a portal. This is one of the most important aspects of the number's symbolism. It also can be looked at from the word One. We are One, Oneness (1, or 11) - these are concepts intricately linked to our consciousness awakening. The year 2011 therefore serves as a portal to a reconnected state of consciousness which experiences duality as Oneness.

The date 11/11/11 will serve as a triple portal, a tri-fold activation. While the number 4 is represented by the square, three is of course represented by the equilateral triangle - which is the shape that has the most strength and balance, symbolizing reconciliation. "The triad is the form of the completion of all things." Nichomachus of Gerasa. "But of every tension of opposites culminates in a release, out of which comes the "third." In the third, the tension is resolved and the lost unity is restored." Carl Jung.

In other words, 11/11/11 is a day to pay close attention to and understand the power and potential it contains within.

Let me explain. We came from a state of completeness, Oneness, where nothing was differentiated. Pretty boring. So Consciousness chose to experience duality, the light and the dark, in its full spectrum. Thus the Cosmos was created, and eventually Earth was chosen as a classroom where Source could expand and evolve more fully as a result of embodiment in duality.

Initially, duality was in perfect and sublime balance. We see this represented in the Chinese symbol of yin/yang:

Not only is there a precisely equal amount of light and dark, we see the circle of light within the dark, and the circle of dark within the light. This is critical. It is never either/or, it is always both.

Eventually the balance was lost. There is much speculation and theorizing about how or why this happened. Take your pick of which theory appeals to you. For now, I will simply say that this happened and here we are, in a world where imbalance has ruled for thousands of years. Many see this most clearly represented in the imbalance between the male/female energies within ourselves, and expressed in the world at large.

The planetary awakening we are going through is in its essence about reestablishing balance within duality. We do not want to do away with duality - if we did, we'd be back to a very boring state of affairs. Diversity and complexity are richly rewarding. I for one do not want to achieve a state of enlightenment where I step into nothingness. Instead, I desire to move towards an enlightened consciousness that contains everything - again as represented by the yin/yang symbol. I embrace it all. I see the beauty of this symbol. It has an elegance to it, our eye is drawn towards it, and responds to the symmetry. In it we find every expression of the good, the true, and the beautiful.

Now, getting back to the year 2011, and the number 11. Most of you have had the trigger of seeing the number 11:11 repeatedly. And you wondered, what the heck is going on? Generally, once it fully caught your attention and you began inquiring as to its meaning, you then began to see it less often. Still, there are times when there it is again, day after day: 11:11. This is the code of awakening, the code that you respond to because deep within your soul you recall its meaning, though your everyday mind does not remember. The trigger is insistant though. You will keep seeing it until you become curious and begin asking why, what is that all about?

It is about your personal consciousness and our collective consciousness awakening. It is activating a recollection of what we came here to do in this lifetime: begin moving towards the reestablishment of a perfect balance within duality.

[I just have to note that as I am typing this post, I am seeing some interesting numbers: 12:12 just popped up, and lots of 7's and 6's are showing up on my electronic thermostat: when I walked in the room, the temperature and humidity indoors and out was either 66 or 77. This has been happening day after day. Rarely is it 76 or 78, but always 77 or better yet, 77.7. The meaning of this I will leave to another post. If I haven't already done so, I want to emphasize the importance of understanding the concept of Duality within Oneness or Oneness expressed through Duality. If we have just Oneness, we have life before the Big Bang, before consciousness expanded and expressed itself in a wondrous multiplicity of form. Not much fun there. If we have Duality without Oneness, we get imbalance: too much yin, too much yang, the two sides fall apart like an egg cracked open. We have an innate need to be whole. And we have an innate desire to be diverse.

Circling back to my original point, the number 4 is a very solid, foundational number and a perfect one to pair with independence. However, combining it with the number 11, which has a very spiritual and idealistic nature to it, is the perfect pairing. Spirit into matter, matter infused with spirit. The two perfectly complement each other. The number 4 represents our independence, self sufficiency, the vibrancy of our individuality. The number 11 reminds us that all is One. Unity and Independence. Something truly worth celebrating.

The peaceful protestors in North Africa and the Middle East and the people of Japan are I feel, mirroring to us all that aspect of ourselves that is finally ready to move beyond the fear-based patterns that have imprisoned us for so long. And the regimes such as those of Colonel Gaddafi in Libya and the Assads in Syria, reflect the most extreme ego-based and fear-filled parts of us that are still trying to grab onto control and illusory and unsustainable security.

As the Shift continues to speed up, we’re in the birthing process of a new era. The turmoil of world-wide events, whether ‘natural’ or ‘man-made,’ is showing us all the opportunity to move beyond the fears and limitations of our past.

The hugely positive prospect is for us to see ourselves as part of something greater; an expansion in our perspective from me to we, which nonetheless requires our unique presence and contribution to be complete. And despite the surface turbulence, for us to perceive the deeper, purposeful and incredible growth of awareness that is underway.

Crucially, instead of our seeing the Earth as a backdrop to the Shift and increasingly extreme environmental events as something imposed on us, we urgently need to re-soulve our real-ationship with Gaia. We need to recognize that we are literally co-creative and evolutionary partners with her; and that the more graceful our own transition, the more graceful hers will also be. We need to honour and love her; commune with her children and listen to her wisdom.
